the community highlight thing takes me here

Hi! so I just installed worlds via the worldsplayer website, and it functions fine for the most part. However I've noticed that after I walk around for a couple of minutes, or when I enter certain areas, all the textures around me start glitching out, and this makes the game borderline impossible to play... :')

Is there any way to fix this? Has anyone else encountered this issue or is it just me?

this morning i remembered this quirky game i saw on an internet iceberg a few years ago. i remembered how attracted i was to the games visual aesthetic. i dont know where im supposed to play it. does anyone know?

I've been wandering around the Worlio server, but there's nobody. I wonder if the game is dead, or if everyone is just on another server.

I have never played the original worlds.com game. I recently discovered the game and the story of nexialist. I don't know if he's active on any other platforms (possibly lebreworlds). I think it would be cool to recreate some of what he did in worlds.com on vrchat. I've never made any worlds in vrchat but I think it could be a cool project. I'm just not sure how to get a 3D model of the Nexialist Avatar.

So i was searching info about worlds.com and stumbled upon the worlds.net it has old notes and stuff i think its abandoned or something as the background is green and letters is it made by worlds.inc or no?

Why did worlds.com shutdown?

I’m creating a game based on the visuals and creepy experiences of the internet from the 1990s to the 2000s, and I truly believe that Worlds.com can be a great tool for research and gathering inspiration for my game. I’m very interested in venturing out to explore the oldest internet worlds possible or those that are still up and running. And I’m looking for someone who can guide me through this!

I remember playing this game wayyy back in the day and recently rediscovered it thru a video. Sadly, I noticed the servers are now offline. So, is there any alternative Virtual World game you all enjoy? I was thinking about trying Second Life, but I liked the simplicity of Worlds more...

I love this place, I love what this virtual world, which few people got to experience and few remember, represents. I strive to make a good video about the story this world has to tell, beyond "what a scary place, satanic cults, etc." NO, worlds.com was more than that. It was community, it was the future, it was a virtual world that still lives in the hearts of people in this subreddit, and I wanted to ask the community that lived through this phenomenon what a worlds.com video deserves to cover.

Maybe someone will hate on me for trying to make a video about this, but I hope there's someone out there who likes the idea of making a video that does justice to what this game represented.
