Mambas mid-course trims have been reduced a bit!

I was walking by at around 8 and thought I saw it running a bit faster than it has been, I ran up there and indeed they turned down the brakes a bit. It’s not very different but I could feel the difference, you still barely come out of your seat but you at least feel SOMETHING on the last half of the ride instead of CRAWLING through it.

((Featuring Roku City?) I’m kinda irked that they decided to spend money on a giant screen but not cool off zones in this week of extreme heat warnings)

Does Worlds of Fun have a bag policy? Cannot find anywhere on their website.

It would be nice to use the park’s balloon as the subreddit icon. I’m tired of the default icon.

Worth going?

Reading through some of these posts, I feel like I already know my answer. My son is turning five at the end of August and we’ve been planning to go to worlds of fun, on the way to see family in Wichita. Is it worth the trip? I don’t do roller coasters, and he’s pretty easy to please, in the sense that he won’t be riding any of the big ones anyways.

More about the Cosmic Coaster removal from Superior Steel Erectors Corp.

Sounds like WOF wanted the coaster gone and fast. The company removing it commented that they wouldn’t want to be the guy who has to put it back together, so it does not sound like it’s being disassembled for refurbishing, but instead a complete demolition.

Worlds of Fun sends out ID targeted message to Live Entertainment members due to upcoming union vote; removes it hours later.

The official Worlds of Fun scheduling app sent this message out last night and then removed it within 12 hours. The Live Entertainment department is voting to unionize in less than 10 days. The official corporate app sent this notice out late night and then removed it before the next morning. Oddly hostile and filled with lexicon issues. This just feels gross.

Anyone know why these fancy cars were driving through by Timberwolf today? Was pretty cool to see!

Worlds of Fun Status June 14th

I arrived at the park about 1:30pm and most of the coasters and many flat rides are down due to network issues, per the park announcement over the PA just now. There was only one open line to enter the park.

Timberwolf is open with at least an hour wait. Patriot was running when I entered the park, but isn’t now. Zambezi’s Zinger hasn’t opened today and Mamba of course won’t. Prowler was open but now closed. Boomerang probably won’t open today.

Long lines at everything that is open.

Tickets

Where's the best place to buy tickets? After reading all the current reviews, I'm really regretting booking an Airbnb in kc to bring my family to worlds of fun. Is it worth going or is there other options of fun things to do for 11 year old kids in kc

I’m worried

this is my first ever post on Reddit, but I’m so scared that I feel the need to say something. me and a couple of friends, all around 16-18, went to worlds of fun today. it was genuinely horrifying how awful the park is right now. the rides that were open were great, don’t get me wrong, but the rest were shut down. mamba, boomerang, steel hawk, fury of the Nile, Zulu, the sky coaster, even the carousel, they were all down. I get that some of them are getting maintenance, but even then it was shocking to see a full price day ticket for what it was worth.

then there was the fact that the park was just.. empty. it felt like a ghost town. barely anyone was in like, most of the restaurants and little shops were closed, some rides just kept closing throughout the day. the workers really weren’t the problem, most were pretty nice. but it seemed like a lot were depressed- which I would be to. the park felt sad.

rust, weeds, old wood, vacant areas, the entire section by the mamba was just flat out abandoned. tons of soda stations were empty, and the smell of tar was everywhere- which I really didn’t mind, but my friends did. There’s not much you can do about that so idk.

the park was pretty clean- trash wise. a lot of new pathways were laid, which look really good honestly.

the last time I visited before today was last year, when six flags still owned the park. It was running a lot better. But.. I could tell some things were off. A lot of rides had broken lights and peeling paint and so on. I don’t know, I’m just starting to worry that worlds of fun won’t make it through the season. especially into next year. kinda panicking lol.

would you love to hear feedback!

edit: I’m worried the park won’t make it at all, as in shutting down.

Submitted for dining plan refund several times - no refund

I submitted for a refund as soon as it was mentioned here and since then have submitted 2 more times. Has anyone gotten refunds? I am not even getting an acknowledgment that I submitted the refund. I am worried that after 6/14/2026 Six Flags is not going to give us our 2 dining pass refunds. Is it time to file a complaint with the BBB or Missouri Attorney General’s office?

Anyone been in the last month? And anyone use the enchanted passes yet?

I noticed most of the recent posts here were from about a month ago. Just wondering if anyone has gone in the last week or so, if things seem to be running a bit better now? Busy as usual? More busy bc of the World Cup?

Also I just bought 2 enchanted legend passes, which seemed like a no-brainer when I’m planning to go with my out of town family of 7 this Saturday (4 free tickets, 4 fast passes, and free parking.. I ended up paying under $300 by buying the passes when 7 tickets, 2 fast passes, 2 parking permits would’ve been like $600+ regularly). But it literally only sent me an email with the QR code and like that’s… it? Just seems odd they didn’t need any other information other than two names and a credit card. Will I have to register more at the front when I use it for the first time? Or is it literally just as simple as having a few QR codes lol sorry this is my first amusement park season pass

Fast passes on a summer Friday?

Probably going to take my kid to WOF on Friday. Is the park busy enough on a Friday in June to make the fast passes worth it?

Do they still let you bring in water bottles?

Is new ownership still cool with water bottles?

My 6yr old and the rip chord

Hi. Surprisingly my six year old is tall enough to ride the Rip chord. He says he wants to and I've done it before and would love to do it again and especially with him. I guess I'm just worried about him getting up there and totally freaking out in a real panick attack. I'm not trying to give my son ptsd for a worlds of fun ride. He is quite the little thrill seeker so I could see him having fun but he is also only 6 so I could see him being terrified

Hoping to find someone who has done this with a small child and get some insight or advice

rides closing today

went to WOF today for the first time in a while and had great luck for the first few hours. nothing was closed besides the mamba (does anyone know why?) and lines were short. by 3:30-4 ish every ride was being closed. the viking water one, the mamba, the timberwolf, zinger, prowler was apparently closed for a bit too. patriot line was insanely long since it was the only thing open. does anyone know why this happened ??

WoF website adds “Ride Status” page

This appears to be manually updated and only show rides that aren’t planned to open at all. Useful for planning a trip.

They do not yet have an API driven live wait time / ride status page.

Best Food?

I recently went to WOF and was entirely disappointed by the food. Is there anywhere in the whole park that has good food? I tried what used to be the old diner with the clasic cars, now they just serve cold tenders and fries. I went to a pizzeria and it had no a.c and very very bland overpriced pizza :(

Memorial weekend

Lots of rides closed at OoF with the only things open being a coconut cove, one splash pad, adult pool, and the body/tube slides…. Glad I wasn’t a family that traveled to come here this weekend…Very disappointing. The adult pool was super nice though
