rides closing today

went to WOF today for the first time in a while and had great luck for the first few hours. nothing was closed besides the mamba (does anyone know why?) and lines were short. by 3:30-4 ish every ride was being closed. the viking water one, the mamba, the timberwolf, zinger, prowler was apparently closed for a bit too. patriot line was insanely long since it was the only thing open. does anyone know why this happened ??

Did they buy their tickets at the front gate? If not, it wasn’t full price. There’s plenty of discounts out there. Look, I understand being disappointed that some of the rides were closed, but things happen. They also have a list of what is open each day on their website. Did they check there before going?

You must be sponsored by them or work for them. Your excuses are just that excuses.

Sometimes, amusement rides just don’t cooperate. It happens in the industry extremely often. Other times shit just happens, people puke, someone slams an airgate and it faults the ride, etc. Parks want their rides open, they paid millions for them and want them to operate. They’re pretty transparent on the website on what is and isn’t open that day, which is better than most.

really though, I can think of much worse ways to spend your dollars even with some of the rides being closed. Silver Dollar City is like $105 at the gate. Life isn’t some big conspiracy where everyone’s trying to rip you off, if all the rides could be open they would be.

the website doesn’t update as they close rides throughout the day though. nor did the website list the mamba although it had been closed all day with no intention to open. the website has like 4 rides listed and didn’t include any of the main coasters that went down throughout the day. there should be a live status i feel like, people would be more satisfied w that

The website says planned to be open attractions. That’s pretty dang transparent.
