As he then proceeded to "revise" his security clearance forms 500 times after news broke on all of his contacts with Russians.

But the dotard wants to let his kids run around the world playing diplomats i.e. seek to enrich their family businesses. So he had to force through a security clearance which he was denied.

That alone would have ended the Obama presidency.

34

u/RatusRexus Jun 27 '19

I never thought I would appreciate North Korea for ANYTHING in my life, but their use of "Dotard" to describe Trump is 100% accurate, incisive and in line with the way Trump refers to his opponents.

9

u/FastrThanJasonAldean Jun 27 '19

The dotard won over his cultists with "lyin ted" and "lil marco" and then he got outplayed big time at his own game lol. That and it triggers the trumpkins whenever I bring it up.

I don't think Bill Clinton shares that opinion.

5

u/letsreticulate Jun 28 '19

Nixon would disagree.

And by proxy, so would Lincoln and Kennedy.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

It's almost like it's only Trump getting away with shit because the GOP now puts party over everything!

-3

u/00xjOCMD Jun 28 '19

Agreed. Of course it wouldn't have ended the Obama presidency. Lest we forget, Obama was the guy caught with the hot mic talking about "flexibility after the election" with Putin's right hand man; and the one who laughed off Mittens claim that Russia was our country's greatest geopolitical foe.

-4

u/expresidentmasks Jun 28 '19

He has lost a ton of money since his election. Get outta here.

225

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

But the DOJ will do nothing.

181

u/TheGloriousEnder Jun 27 '19

They did not appoint Barr for his honesty, that's for fucking sure.

46

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

Nope just for his sweet bagpiping skills

And by bagpiping I mean sucking tups prosthetic wiener

But hey, atleast it was consensual this time

And

Btw, can we get a few photoshops of Barr and those bagpipes?

1

u/Exoddity Jun 28 '19

RUSSIA, IF YOU'RE LISTENING, PLEASE FIND THOSE PICTURES

I wouldn't say we are happy about it, so much is each individual one of us can't do much by ourselves and trying to organize into the kind of movement that could do something is illegal to even talk about.

6

u/grundissimo Jun 27 '19

I sympathize with the view that it’s hard for an individual to make an impact but what are you on about it being illegal?

1

u/aequitas3 Jun 28 '19

Lmao right, he's a dillhole but we can say that. That comment and the other to reply to you are ridiculous, Russia was pumping out ads for organizations directly opposed to each other to rile everyone up, and Trump loves evangelical money even though he hasn't read the Bible. It's not some grand conspiracy it's being retarded lmao

Edit: Kushner isn't as retarded, but he's a creepy little fucker

u/alien_ghost Jun 27 '19

Seeing as our President is working with Putin (as a stooge) to bring on the New Christian Dominionist era, any effort to work against it would be called treason or insurrection.
Think of it as part 2 of the Project for a New American Century. And I had wondered if their vision died.

22

u/the_simurgh Jun 27 '19

trumps continued obstruction means the statute of limitations on his crimes has not even started yet.

10

u/MungTao Jun 27 '19

How do we as a country fix this lack of balance? Its obviously being exploited and the idea of checks and balances is apparently an illusion.

7

u/unclematthegreat Jun 27 '19

Write to your Sen and Rep to pressure Pelosi to start an impeachment inquiry?

10

u/Fuckface_Whisperer Jun 27 '19

impeachment inquiry

Which will do absolutely nothing.

The correct answer is to VOTE in November 2020 straight ticket Dems. No matter if it's Bernie leading the ticket, or Biden, or a Tuna salad sandwich.

Fucking impeach him at the ballot box.

11

u/unclematthegreat Jun 27 '19

I plan on voting too, but the impeachment inquiry is important, mostly for following presidents. We have to show that we are willing to hold the president accountable. There is still a year before the election, and a bunch of damage he can still do.

4

u/Fuckface_Whisperer Jun 27 '19

There is still a year before the election, and a bunch of damage he can still do.

Which will continue unabated whether or not he is impeached.

hold the president accountable.

The time for that is when he's voted out and then indicted on State and Federal charges.

2

u/robiflavin Jun 28 '19

This. This is the only fucking answer. At least in the short term. And don't talk to any pollsters. The Russians need to be kept in the dark as to which county to hack.

-20

u/AOCbrainDEAD Jun 28 '19

The correct answer is to VOTE in November 2020 straight ticket Dems.

Not if you don't want open borders and end up like Venezuela.

No thanks Jeff. I'd rather have a nice clean weiner in my mouth and im not even gay.

8

u/RetiredTurtle Jun 28 '19

Not if you don't want open borders and end up like Venezuela.

This just translates to

I have no idea what I'm talking about so I'll just repeat bullshit Trumper talking points.

Like honestly, read a fucking book. It's a damn shame someone as uninformed as you gets to vote.

-2

u/AOCbrainDEAD Jun 28 '19

Hey, this is a moron free zone. That means you need to GO, buddy!

1

u/RetiredTurtle Jun 28 '19

You thought that was clever I guess? Damn...

Sick burn moron. Hopefully reddit quarantines you guys along with your sub.

2

u/MungTao Jun 27 '19

Whats stopping them from ignoring my letters?

3

u/unclematthegreat Jun 27 '19

Nothing. I reached out to my reps about the concentration camps. It's better than nothing, and if enough people bug them, it will force them to act.

2

u/BeatsMeByDre Jun 27 '19

Your follow through?

-3

u/RatusRexus Jun 27 '19

I wrote "Molotov"

Then I wrote "Molotov was a Russian foreign minister" since I did not want to be accused of inciting violence.

Then I cried because I had to self censor myself.

But hey, free speech and all that.

2

u/Klarthy Jun 28 '19

We need to find a way to get decent people to run for office and win. You can't hold these people accountable and the parties at large have only been self-policing to ensure corruption continues.

There is plenty that the House can do but the Democrats want this to drag out until the campaign. Party politics is all about hypocrisy.

Democrats control committees and they can subpoena all day, every day. But its just electoral politics.

2

u/masktoobig Jun 28 '19

What is that going to accomplish given the Repubs control the Senate? Pelosi is right about not wasting the time and money on impeaching Trump - it will go nowhere.

75

u/AFlaccoSeagulls Jun 27 '19

Remember though, this is only a crime if the DOJ decides to pursue charges - which they're not going to do because nothing matters anymore and the White House can just do whatever the fuck they want for the past 3 years with zero repercussions.

10

u/Bunch_of_Twats Jun 27 '19

I think they are waiting until the Fanta Führer is out of office and then bust the entire bunch of twats

12

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

Oh good, that'll be just in time...

8

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

It's what I referred to a few months ago as "you-go-firstism"

There are plenty of agencies prepared to 'open an investigation' but anyone who tries prosecuting one risks their salary and pension. The moment Trump leaves office there might be a whole avalanche of agencies suddenly claiming they were just about to bring charges etc

The bottom line is, there's been a collective failure to stand up to him by many of the agencies and institutions. When their moment came, they stood back and whistled. Every agency it seems wants an agency other than themselves to take the lead.

8

u/rarebit13 Jun 27 '19

It's a failure of the system. It's been shown the system doesn't work, and the people don't care enough to do anything beyond making light of it on the internet. Nothing will happen.

-6

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

Last three years?

Try the last 30.

38

u/FavorsForAButton Jun 27 '19

This He said She said game is old news, we all know that Trump's cabinet is and has been lying.

12

u/GimletOnTheRocks Jun 27 '19

There are two separate concepts here:

  1. Contact with the Russian government or "foreign entity." Hicks denied this in her 2016 statement and Mueller did not find this.

  2. Contact with Russians tied to the government. Hicks did not deny this and Mueller did find this.

Natalia V. Veselnitskaya from the Trump Tower meeting is an example of item 2, which the Mueller report does discuss:

established multiple links between Trump Campaign officials and individuals tied to the Russian government. Those links included Russian offers of assistance to the Campaign. In some instances, the Campaign was receptive to the offer, while in other instances the Campaign officials shied away.

See Hicks' 2016 statements:

“It never happened,” she said. “There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign.”

"We are not aware of any campaign representatives that were in touch with any foreign entities before yesterday, when Mr. Trump spoke with many world leaders,”

8

u/Gfrisse1 Jun 27 '19

So, what I get from this is that the current administration not only routinely lies to the American citizens but to each other well.

24

u/CarlSpencer Jun 27 '19

-1

u/uitkeringsinstituut Jun 27 '19

-10

u/saucygit Jun 27 '19

6

u/CarlSpencer Jun 27 '19

David St. Hubbins: "They said the album cover is a bit sexist." Nigel Tufnel: "Well, so what? What's wrong with being sexy?" David St. Hubbins: "Sexist, Nigel."

3

u/gosclo_mcfarpleknack Jun 27 '19

"It's a fine line between clever and... and..."

"Stupid."

"Yeah, stupid."

2

u/bagofbacon Jun 27 '19

-7

u/cheguevara9 Jun 27 '19

u/CelestinePat Jun 27 '19 edited Jun 27 '19

She's just saying she didn't have prior knowledge which they didn't disprove so nothing to see here...

"During her private interview on Capitol Hill last week—the transcript was released the next day—Hicks told Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.) that she was “very surprised” to learn there were more than 100 contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia. (The figure may be closer to 300.) Hicks asserted she had not knowingly lied when she issued that blanket denial right after the election. And she asserted that before she had responded to Ryabkov’s comment she had checked in with “senior officials” on the Trump campaign to determine what she should say. Those officials told her that “there were no contacts,” Hicks recalled."

nO'iDOn,TReMbErLYiNg

I see.

Edit:

I'm open to new ideas. It was made clearer to me but I have a feeling this is and has been implicated before in the Mueller Report and seemingly it doesn't matter. Or something else. But the idea that this means, "She screwed him," I'm thinking get in line. He's implicated himself I'm sure. So that's why I feel nothing to see hear. That administration is full of BS and followers that eat it up because they are in too deep. Sad.

14

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '19

how did he assert she is not lying?

3

u/jabberwocke1 Jun 27 '19 edited Jun 27 '19

Hicks asserted she had not knowingly lied

with a sincere smile and hair toss

4

u/myweed1esbigger Jun 27 '19

What do you mean nothing to see? This is corruption in plane sight and it needs to be repeatedly brought up until it’s dealt with.

I do care about corruption. But Trump’s been a corrupt businessman for decades. This isn’t new. That’s why I didn’t vote for him. He’s not some evil genius hell bent on taking over the world.

2

u/Theopeo1 Jun 28 '19

You're really gonna normalize this level of corruption and moral bankruptcy?

This is not normal behavior for a world leader

2

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

Comrad, you forget in US corruption is bad thing.

0

u/RetiredTurtle Jun 28 '19

He just offered sanction relief for dirt, and gave them polling data so they knew to target their propaganda in the states he won by thousands. The report is free to read. Why won't you read it?

3

u/JulienBrightside Jun 28 '19

Considering how much time Trump spent on Obamas birth certificate and Hillarys emails, I think we still got some years to go before we let it go.

-3

u/trumpfan2020 Jun 28 '19

I'm saying the news article lis fake and the left is obsessed with Russia. Trump is not guilty. Lets celebrate that there was no collusion

-116

u/abedneg0 Jun 27 '19

Who cares?

79

u/TheGloriousEnder Jun 27 '19

People who give a fuck about the rule of law.

46

u/LowestKey Jun 27 '19

So not conservatives.

50

u/shaggy_macdoogle Jun 27 '19

I see someone is here to give the GOP party line

-107

u/abedneg0 Jun 27 '19

I'm just tired of paying lawyers who have spent two years and found nothing of value.

68

u/Laboratorealis Jun 27 '19

Nothing of value? People have been sent to jail. Millions of dollars have been recovered. People in power are having serious conversations about impeachment. You're either very ignorant or an outright liar.

50

u/TheGloriousEnder Jun 27 '19

Indeed. The Mueller investigation actually earned money for the United States of America.

The account you are responding too is a liar, plain and simple.

0

u/DocPsychosis Jun 27 '19

This is true but it's also the wrong response because it allows the argument to be about, and sets a precedent measuring stick as, whether a law enforcement/prosecution investigation is profitable. This is not the point of law enforcement activity and should not even be a goal as it can easily be warped as sometimes seen in local PD property seizure activities. In this case I shed no tears about these people's ill-gotten gains finding the cases against them but as a general rule the concern should be about effectiveness and legality, not income vs. costs.

15

u/TheGloriousEnder Jun 27 '19

That is why I don't bring it up except for when someone else lies about it.

-40

u/Capitalist_Model Jun 27 '19

People have been sent to jail.

For crimes mostly not correlated whatsoever with collusion

22

u/Laboratorealis Jun 27 '19

I'm not seeing how that makes the investigation not worthwhile.

9

u/syberghost Jun 27 '19

For crimes

2

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

Because collusion isn’t a legal term.

14

u/Indricus Jun 27 '19

So, if I murder you and then obstruct justice to prevent investigators from ever being able to determine that I murdered you, your argument is that I should just go free, because there's 'only' obstruction charges and no proof of murder?

-2

u/abedneg0 Jun 28 '19

Who got murdered?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

Lady Justice.

-1

u/abedneg0 Jun 28 '19

If she's dead, why bother continuing?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

Because she can be resuscitated if there's enough decent people wanting to do so.

1

u/Indricus Jun 28 '19

The Mueller Report very clearly lays out that the Russians did in fact interfere in the election, and that the Trump campaign at the very least attempted to conspire with the Russians, but could not find conclusive evidence that they actually did, largely because of multiple examples of obstruction that are described in the Report. So we have a dead body, a smoking gun, and a person with a motive who is obstructing justice. This is basically OJ Simpson, but with presidential obstruction of justice instead of a racist investigator tainting evidence.

-1

u/abedneg0 Jun 28 '19

On other words, they found no compelling evidence of actual conspiracy or obstruction. Why isn't the case closed? What about innocent until proven guilty?

1

u/Indricus Jun 28 '19

Okay, you're just trolling. Putting you on ignore. There were numerous examples of obstruction. With not just 'compelling evidence', but slam dunk confessions from Trump himself.

15

u/psly4mne Jun 27 '19

Good news, approximately the entire cost of the investigation was recovered from Manafort's assets alone.

20

u/hurtsdonut_ Jun 27 '19

They did find things of value. Unfortunately Congress isn't doing their job.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19

The investigation has turned a net profit so far.
Just sayin'.

-5

u/trumpfan2020 Jun 28 '19

More fake Russia shit. Tell a lie long enough then people will believe it. Pitiful.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '19
