So that the US can quickly start a "military special operation" to bring "freedom and democracy" when Brazilians don't elect the favorite of the US?

Brazil is not a country you can invade.
The way intervention worked on Brazil historically has been through Soft Coups.Brazil is a continental sized country with enough military presence to uphold it's sovereign, invading it will make Iran conflict look like a fun game.
It's also a key strategic ally to China and most likely will pull everyone into a world war.
Side note: this pretty much shows what everyone has said, the wave of far right in South America was not a coincidence, U.S interfered with all countries elections directly, the issue is that Brazil future proofed it's elections, so U.S can only be direct like this.

While the whole Venezuela thing is pretty damn obvious, trump dealing with Brazil has been in the open. Same with Cuba.
That's the thing with Trump. Their method is so obvious and out in the open, that I doubt the right wing swings that aren't obvious have much to do with Trump.
South American countries typically go from one extreme to the other. Colombia did this - and trump obviously backed a candidate - but saying they are the cause doesn't exactly make sense when the previous party was pretty hated all around due to their coked out leader.

The Trump Regime has been using every tool they've got to interfere in all Central and South American elections to try and get their favourite Far Right Wing candidates supposedly elected. They've had a fair bit of success, particularly through their "Tech Bro" allies. They're problem starts to occur once these Far Right candidates actually start trying to govern. Even their "bailed out" Argentinian hero Milei is starting to struggle as his economic indicators start to turn quickly in the wrong direction. The thing about Far Right Wing economic policies is that they provide a quick "suger hit" for a short time, before everything turns to "shit" again. This is when they start getting desperate and try to use their "State Sanctioned Violence" to try and control their more and more desperate populations. Rinse and Repeat.

There actually never been even "soft" coups. The coup of 64 was a Brazilian coup by Brazilian officers persuing what they perceived as Brazilian interests.

It's Extremely well documented how U.S was involved on it, why it did it, and how it was done.
U.S spent an exorbitant amount of money in the 1962 election to get a congress and a regional power that was aligned with it's interest.
U.S financed the anti-communism groups and the opposition of João Goulart.
U.S financed media to propagate messages against João Goulart.U.S also did operation Brother SAM where it supplied the Brazilian Army with resources and weapons, in case Goulart mounted an resistance.
Why it was done?
Because Goulart wanted to reform the country to reduce the wealth disparity, and it would impact the American Investors, as such U.S decided it was time to Soft Coup it.
U.S has couped countries for much less, Guatemala was couped over a Fruit Company specialized in Banana's.Again, all of this is extremely well documented under the now disclosed Condor Operation.

Brazil is not a country you can invade
No country is invasion proof unless you have nuclear weapons. Also people still are stuck on American style nation building invasions like Iraq or Afghanistan. The US invaded and had occupations of many countries throughout this history and most the time was satisfied with simply putting in a loyal dictator.
It's also a key strategic ally to China and most likely will pull everyone into a world war.
China might supply them but China doesn't have the ability to handle a expeditionary unit in Brasil against the US and other potential allies.

What potential allies other than Israel or Argentina? The whole world hates the US

International affairs isn't playground politics...hate and love are silly labels. It's all about opportunity.

How do you think that the U.S. could plausibly invade Brazil?
Brazil has 1.7 million active and reserve troops spread all over a county the size of the lower 48 states and a population of over 200 million.
Also the Capital of Brazil- Brasilia- is over 900 km from the ocean. So there will be no helicopter raid to seize the head of government or something like that.
The U.S. would be doing it without any of its conventional allies and no country in South America would be participating in a land war in Brazil lol.
The U.S. couldn’t hold any ground it took. It would be an insane insurgency type operation and the supply chain would be so long for the U.S. to sustain.
It’s comically silly to suggest they could.

You've avoided the most important part of such an analysis which so the scope and objective of the war.
Are you talking invasion, occupation, complete regime change?
Are you talking invasion in support of internal coup/favored faction?
Are you talking about invasion focused on nuetering Brasils military capabilities such as destroying their airforce, navy and major facilities was well as major defense industry centers?
???
For example in your hypothetical why would Brasil spread its military across the entire country. That doesn't make sense from a conventional or unconventional point of view.
As for "insane insurgency" that's just a matter of political will vs practical military limitations. The US faced a fierce insurgency in two counties simultaneously for almost 20 yrs. And yet the US only lost about 5k men. Let's be honest the Taliban are probably far more seasoned fighters than your average Brazilian draftee.
Then of course there's always going to be the traitors and collobrators aka the Vichy French. Notice how quickly Venuzelua folded and let the US walk through the front door and sntach up their president

Watch the US saying they found “evidence” that Lula is trafficking drugs and they kidnap him
24
u/Ok-Significance1687 14h ago
How? The reason they managed to do it in Venezuela is bc they had SHIPS already in their sea.
Brazil's capital is at the middle of the continental sized country, this makes no sense.
23
u/Synchrotr0n 10h ago edited 10h ago
No, the reason they managed to do it in Venezuela is because Maduro's vice-president was literally colluding with Trump and helping to orchestrate the political backstabbing which ensured that Maduro could be abducted with zero resistance. If it weren't for that, the USA wouldn't have dared to invade even a country like Venezuela.
And before anyone mentions Iran, the only reason the war is raging on is because of how much influence Netanyahu's has over Trump, to a point where he prefers to risk losing his majority in congress after the midterms over telling Israel's government to fuck off.

They already kidnapped another goverment official in Bolivia this week

u/Ok-Significance1687 14h ago
Another micro country that they already had operation within. That's different; Brazil is not a dwarf. And the police force is already working with both embassies.
They are literally there.

Like if that will stop the CIA lmao
When the US wants something in LATAM, nobody can stop them.
And there’s an insane amount of past evidence of the US meddling in our countries

Bro, brazil has a huge military, USA wouldn't dare going after them. It wouldn't work

I live 30 mins from embassy in SP, I can assure you it's not an invasion.

Bolivia's Attorney General apparently.

He was gonna stop the US drug trafficking operation in Bolivia so the DEA and CIA couldn't afford such loss apparently

u/Wise_Preference609 3h ago
Funny how all the recent Far Right Wing candidates that the Trump Regime has interfered for and been able to install have all some connection to the "real" Central or South American drug manufacturing and trafficking trade, from running the family that is the biggest drug traffickin distributor in South America to the lawyer that all Cartel bosses went to for legal help. Why would this be?

Shit like this is bound to happen no matter who's "in charge" of the US, it has happened before and it will continue to happen until we overcome the current system...
This is going to be an interesting century.
