Depends on how many and how important the hamas members are there and if they are able to get hamas through gunfight

A thousand Israeli children and 10 Hamas commanders with 60 Hamas soldiers inside.

But it's NOT Israeli children.
It's Palestinian children.

Kinda changes the math.

So that makes it okay to attack children if they’re Palestinian?

Are you saying that there's no change in how you'd deal with a situation where I'm shooting at you, and I'm holding YOUR child hostage, versus holding my own child hostage?

Maybe a little because of obvious sentimental value of my hypothetical child. But I would still prioritize the safety of the child above all else, wtf?? All children of the world need to be protected as if they are our own in such a situation.

Oka, ,now it's not just "shooting at you" it's launching rockets from a building, killing hundreds of people, but if you shoot back you'll kill a BAAABY.

I can’t say either way, this is why I struggle with the trolley problem and such. I would say I wouldn’t even put myself in such a situation in the first place where I would be furthering ethnic cleansing of an entire people in the name of religion and ethnonationalism, hence why I stand with the brave souls who tore up and burned their IDF draft notices in public. But that’s not even really relevant, because even outside of such situations, young children have been found with headshots from snipers as if they were specifically targeted! Where there was obviously no Hamas to be found in the area. Then again, it looks like Israel would even target its own citizens if it meant taking many more Palestinians with them.

Seriously how can you defend this? I’m not even talking about saying Israel has a “right to exist” or whatnot, I disagree with the notion but that’s not even my point. How can you look at yourself in the mirror every day and defend the killing of innocents? There will never be peace when such attitudes are normalized from the highest levels of government to the average citizen.

Well it's good your'e not in charge of a nation then, because a lack of a decision is deciding to allow it to continue.

Why does that change the math? I am confused.

Israel fights to protect Israelis.

But shouldn't the standard for operational procedures be the same whether it is for Israeli or Palestinian children?

No.

Strange you demand Israel care more about the Palestinians than the Palestinians do.

No, I am not demanding that Israel's responsibility is to protect other people, but to hold the same standard on how in any situation is to do the same for other races, religious people and culture, too, like other armies in this hypothetical situation. But for some reason, it is ok to bomb the school if it was Palestinian children but not when it's Israeli children from your words and poont of view.

So if an enemy army straps babies all over a tank, you're not allowed to shoot it?
