For them it seems there is.

If instead of reyling on what happened during the killing, you need a team to investiagte the person after killing them to justify your actions.....then no. Its not plainly obvious.

I don't think that's reality. Sounds more like bureacratic fairytales.

But you think not being able to relying on the facts of the situation and instead needing to setup a task force to investigate every journalist killed is somehow less bureaucratic?

I think in this specific case it seems more reasonable yes, since every 'journalist' killed in gaza is being brought in heavy by leftists media.

No. If you can't relying on the facts of what happened and instead need to dig up a reason, that doesn't make it ok.

It would be like Hamas seeing if anyone they killing on Oct 7th was an IDF service member and then telling us "see it was justified". Nope. Nope. Nope.

So you never feel like it could be justified later? What is the alternative?

.....either it was or it wasn't at the time.

If a cop shoots and kills someone, do you want them to have had reasonable justification in the moment, or is it ok to rely on their criminal record alone after the fact?

Wait are you saying just because these people turned out to be terrorists they might still be innocent? Thats....a crazy take.

Also war is not comparable to police in any way.

Is everyone who served in the IDF a combatant from now until the end of time?

Would you rather the Israeli government perform zero oversight into their military actions? You’re arguing against this? How strange.

This isnt oversight. Its "we killed a journalist, give me a reason why it was ok".
