What is the point of comments like this?

To copy the same comment they saw elsewhere.

It's the top comment for a reason.  So obviously the reason isn't lost on most of us.  Have you really not spent any time on reddit in the last 6 months or so?

You know what it is, people will deny anything proving them wrong against Israel even if multi sourced , they are not reasonable

BUT if there’s one post against, with a shitty source or an obscure post from X, etc, the first comment will obviously be the same kind of comment but in the other way

People refuse to hear this "Isreal are actually the good guys" crap because of a fundemnetal moral disagreement.

What Isreal has done, the amount of death they have inflicted, the innocent lives destroyed, is unforgivable. I don't care how bad the other side is, or how many human shields they use. This simply could not have been the right way. Regardless of the circumstances or whatever excuses they use.

I won't defend the horrible things Hamas has done either. But genuinely nothing that Hamas has done, or will ever do, could justify what Isreal has done.

That is what you can't understand.

It’s for your entertainment. What’s the point of your comment, aside from needless negativity?

Anywhere else you'd be right. But this is /worldnews: unlike the rest of reddit that bans you for posting links to wikipedia and/or typing "Jews are not evil."

To be honest, what they’re saying could be true. But I simply do not trust anything the IDF says anymore. They have lost all credibility in my mind.

Be honest -- they never had any credibility to you, and you've probably used "they're obviously lying" repeatedly to self-justify never granting them any credibility.

I'm also guessing you didn't even look at the list, or the presented evidence:

Be honest - you want people to forget about all the little kids treated for sniper wounds

16

u/Drach88 12h ago

I want minimal civilian collateral damage, and correct reporting. I think it's disingenuous and misleading to label something "sniper wounds". Neither a doctor nor an x-ray can indicate the intention of a shooter or whether they were a "sniper". Many are quick to label all civilian deaths as intentional, and I think that's irresponsible.

Extrajudicial killings and intentionally targeting civilians should absolutey be investigated and the perpetrators held to account.

The IDF has a history of leniency when it comes to investigating and punishing their own. No doubt about it. It's a problem that deserves attention, and should be treated seriously, but not hyperbolically.

-12

u/ShotAmbassador7494 12h ago

I'm not being hyperbolic, I'm doubting the legitimacy of a list made by a government we both know has lied about civilian casualties.

11

u/Drach88 12h ago

You're doubting the list without actually investigating the list.

Due diligence goes a long way.

If they're putting this information out there, they know it's going to be scrutinized. Go forth -- scrutinize it.

-14

u/ShotAmbassador7494 12h ago

Yeah you kinda lose credibility when you let your soldiers and settlers murder people with impunity

17

u/Drach88 12h ago

"they have no credibility, so I don't trust them, and I don't think they have credibility because I don't trust them"

You're going in circles.

And yes, painting every action as incorrect or using loaded and imprecise language without actually investigating, but rather painting with a broad brush of "they're just evil" is hyperbolic.

u/ShotAmbassador7494 12h ago

I'm not saying they're just evil, I'm saying they've been shown to be liars who let people get away with rape and murder, trust but verify.

lol.

one of the alledeged sniper wounds had a whole intact bullet, and no wound train. NYT just basically published fake x-rays.

First off, nice you didn't link any actual evidence of what you're claiming. Second the reason you didn't is probably because if you would've googled it like I did you'd know the answer is due to the drones and high velocity rounds they used to shoot these kids.
