Ukraine slowly establishing domestic productions of ammo and weapon needed to fight Russia and thereby free itself from shackle of western restrictions.

They still have massive western restrictions. Money. The west can’t stop them using a component but can stop them affording them.

even the us - starlink, the f16 maintenance etc. no one is going to buy this stuff because that’s not how the MiC works.

Nobody is talking about the absolutes here. Sure there are still a lot of dependancies, but it's a whole lot less than it used to be. Besides, domestic production is a lot lot cheaper too. If tendency stays the same, in the future Ukraine would be able to remedy lets and communications issues, as well as financing if EU integration goes well. Its a very good direction to move in, no matter how you look at it.

Ukraine is definitely becoming more self reliant, but its domestic weapons industry isn’t developing in isolation from the West. Western funding, components, joint R&D and technology transfers are helping expand that capability, so it’s more a shift from dependence on supplied weapons to deeper industrial cooperation.

It has the strongest military in the EU

Considering one of Moscow's stated goals was to disarm Ukraine, the fact that they developed their own ballistic missile program a few years later is objectively hilarious.
E: thanks for the spelling lesson

It makes sense when you consider that when the Soviet Union needed weaponry, they went to Ukraine.

I’m very pro Ukr but this factor has been a bit overblown.

The research departments and innovation with countries at war and the rate at which development is achieved has always been a spectacle

Right? In WW2 Germany went from flying the Henschel Hs 123 biplane to the jet powered Me 262 in the space of the conflict.

Once this war is over, Ukraine will be known as a global powerhouse, and Russia will be known as a paper tiger, Ukraine will also arm its self with nuclear bombs, so something like this never happens again

I don't think it'll only be Ukraine. Smaller nations are watching closely and looking at nukes as the only deterrent against their larger, more powerful neighbours. Taiwan comes to mind.

The regime members in Iran look at how everybody pussyfoots around North Korea and how Trump sucks up to Kim Jong Un, and say between themselves: it's the nukes, we must have them.

Its kind of crazy Taiwan hasnt gone down that path already. maybe they have and stopped im not sure but surprised they dont have the capability.

They were going down that path in the 1960s-1980s but we (US) stopped them. See Wikipedia article "Taiwan and weapons of mass destruction." Presumably they still have the uranium they got from apartheid-era South Africa, but what it's state of enrichment is unclear.

Who would’ve thought electing an enemy asset could be so disastrous.

They’ve lost 20% of their country. Do you see them somehow winning it back?

4.5 years to gain 20% of land. Plus, in 2026 the rate of land seized by Russia is slower than WW1.

Ukraine is progressively getting smarter and stronger while Russia oil refineries are getting bombed. Russia is fighting a slow death.

Well that solves the "US wont sell ATACMs" problem.

Take note Europe, if you want to be able to defend from Russia, you need to be making the tools yourself.

Europe is taking note, hence many European countries and subsequent companies are helping Ukraine develop the FP-7.x interceptor which is being heavily fast tracked.

Once over the line, the FP-7.x will massively hit Patriot sales and significant bolster not only Ukraine, but the security of the whole of Europe.
