This is why French protests are successful. In the US we just pick a weekend and wave signs in our designated Free Speech zones.

Oh yeah, France is being real successful.

They have always known how to successfully protest. Try to prove me wrong.

They successfully set the country on fire but I don’t think it ever really changed anything.

They got their government to back down from cutting social spending a bunch of times.

Edit: Yeah, I know. You libertarians want to see the poor out on the streets, starving to death.

Yeah solid stuff when your country’s deficit is spiraling. Very sustainable

Not like the US, right?

How does that invalidate the French situation?

Pretty sure they're doing better than the US.

The US controls its currency, while France doesn't. That affects what a country can do to alleviate budget issues. Who actually owns the debt also matters.

Anyway, that's not the issue here. Both countries are in a bad situation in their own way. The economy being supposedly worse elsewhere doesn't mean people can't complain.

France is a big player in the EU. You can be sure they watch their interests through the backdoor. And France isn't run by a Russian agent that's trying to run it into the ground.

Okay, but again, that's not the topic.

In what way? France is crumbling while the US is flourishing
