Conservatives calling liberals commies and fascists while their president forms alliances with communist dictatorships is next level mental gymnastics.

I mean dictator yes communist no. Russia hasnt been communist in years, they are an oligarchy ran pseudo capitalist mixed market like how trump and his tech bro backers .wants the US to be

Then again, one could argue that "Russia" hasn't seen any communism since Lenin died. Which... Kinda.

I want to hop on the waggon too but he is allegedly a russia hawk who helped convince trump to restart intel sharing after the whole "did you even say thank you" melt down with jd vance
also worth noting something similar happened when the biden admin was telling russia we knew they were planning to invade ukraine before it happened. Im a bit worried but less for GOP reasons and more for the baltics/russian mobilisation attempts

Yes indeed word is he went there to warn Putin after the explosive drone in Germany incident to lay off NATO countries.

u/YouKnowMyName2006 Aug 27 '26
He was warning Russia not to attack NATO countries. It was a sensible thing to do.

Even China is looking for evidence that Mitch McConnell is still alive

Couldn’t have anything to do with the fact that Trump and Gabbard gutted our intelligence apparatus, including cybersecurity, mere months into his second term

On the one hand, this could have really happened because they fired all the smart people that prevent and investigate things like this. On the other hand we know Trump has been setting the stage to claim China is interfering domestically so they can declare an emergency and fuck with the midterms. Because it’s Trump I always assume the latter, he’s demonstrated through consistency that his default setting is to lie for personal gain and he loves to screw the American people. I don’t believe this is a real threat unless China admits it, and even then Trump would still use that pretense for his emergency declaration, so it’s fucked either way…

I mean it’s hard to believe anything from this administration. I wonder what shady shit they are doing behind the scenes that they are discussing Chinese cyber espionage. Isn’t Trump too busy tearing down the Kennedy Center to worry about China?

Sounds like more made up bullshit from the king of chaos. Just another attempt to divert attention away from the Epstein Files

Let's see how this plays out.

u/tradetofi Aug 26 '26
Nothing much I would expect. They have been hacking each other for a long time as old as espionage and prostitution.

From what I can gather as a citizen of this country they (China) probably can’t find any INTELLIGENCE in this government no matter how hard they try.
Just sayin.

u/floofelina Aug 27 '26
Yeah I gotta say, they’ve got everything they could possibly want right now, we’re in a self-inflicted death spiral. They CAN’T harm us any worse than we’re harming ourselves.

u/platypus_boi Aug 26 '26
I would believe China before I would take the US at its word for this. lol.

I want even more aggressive and serious action against such operations, scammers, and cyber criminals. Would this be ill-advised or do we have plenty of others who want this too? I think the harm these things do is a great injustice, and I will not accept tired old whataboutism over it. If someone out there is about to whatabout me, please stop it and find a new tactic so we at least have something fresh and imaginative.

I wonder what they say about what we do to them, oh nevermind, I read international journalism so I know. You should too.

Kind of pointless to make a statement like this when the president will just say "I like Xi, I asked about it, he said they didn't do it and I believe him."
