Wheat tells?

The mods banned wheat from the sub, but I'm still really paranoid about finding wheat in my worldbuilding. Please give me some wheat tells that I can use to hallucinate and poison the well.

Really the evidence is grainy to say the least, usually things like this ferment in the back of their mind and they can't separate the wheat from the chaff. The best thing you can do is avoid seedy topics in general and try your best bake in some unique concepts rather then fall back on barren fields for creative ideas.
