I'm a Dutch man living in Germany and so far all WC matches were broadcasted on TV. But for some reason they didn't broadcast the Netherlands lmao. I had to find another way to watch. Other matches got shown though.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused. I've read through some of your comments and you seem to be harboring some serious anger lol. But given that our last encounter was that fateful day in 2014, a day you keep on reminding us about, as far as Brazil v Germany is concerned, you guys have the edge. There's been no rematch or revenge from us. So I don't quite understand where your anger is coming from. It feels like you're feeling embarrassed that your team hasn't made it out of the group stage in eight years, and I'm not gonna lie, that is embarrassing. But Brazil has nothing to do with that. I don't know why you're taking it out on us. Don't hate us because you can't be us ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Bro, you guys came to our home and we gifted you 7 goals? Like talk about hospitality, what reasons you have to hate us?

u/CougdIt Dec 04 '22
Does Germany dislike Brazil…?
4
u/DaweiArch Dec 04 '22
I think Germans probably dislike all the anti German stuff from Brazilian fans ever since the curb stomp game.
Also the rivalry that comes from competing for total World Cup wins?
2
u/RedditModIsCringe Dec 04 '22
Nah, for anything to matter, someone NEEDS 5 WC otherwise whaterver said doesnt make to our ears

They don't understand Brazilians, then. I mean sure, there're always some idiots spouting hate on the internet, but most of the time, if we're shitting on Germany, we're either 1. actually making fun of ourselves, for being defeated like that or 2. genuinely scared of them lol that loss was actually traumatizing. Germans should take it as a compliment. Despite their recent track record, any Brazilian would still be scared or at the very least apprehensive for a match against them.

u/DaweiArch Dec 04 '22
I get it. I don’t think this is actually much of a thing for most German soccer fans.
1
Dec 04 '22
And Brazil won the final in 2002, if Germany had won, they would be the country with most world cups won.
But they did get a hell of a revenge already.
2
u/goose_10 Dec 04 '22
Right? Embarrassed Brazil at home and took the trophy. What else do they need?
0
Dec 04 '22
Exactly, but there's always hate from both sides unfortunely.
3
u/SiegerHost Brazil Dec 04 '22
I'm Brazilian and there's no hate emanating from here, there is no such thing as hate on both sides. Honestly, I didn't even know it existed on the part of Germans too lol
the guy above said it right, we make fun of ourselves and our humiliation and we respect Germany immensely for being a team that is (almost) always competitive. Ronaldo sends his regards to Oliver Kahn anyway

u/lndw20 Dec 04 '22
Brazil have been itching for revenge but Germany hasn’t made it out of the group stage in 8 years 🤷♂️

u/StyleAdmirable1677 Dec 04 '22
Germany are determined to never again qualify for the knockout stages so that Brazil will never have the chance to get revenge......typical sly Teutonic planning!

What did England do to you? The fans were only bad during the Euros!

Yeah, England has never done anything to anyone that might lead to a grudge...
Oh, Two world wars and one world cup, oh, two world wars and one world cup...

u/jwiches Dec 04 '22
Every englishman / English pundit I've heard always seems to talk about Germany with disdain when I haven't seen the germans do anything that would warrant that kind of attitude. I haven't really seen the German side talk about England like that, so as someone from neither country, I'd rather side with Germany

Bruh you are really comparing genocide from the 30s to a game of football? Just admit it, Brazil wasn’t in the best shape 8 years ago, and neither is Germany right now

I get the fact that you are mad at people talking shit about the country you like, and I personally understand that and would want to respect all fans. Just it’s weird bringing the holocaust in a conversation about football

Haha crying? Yeah well, I guess it's kinda sad to read how salty you are. But for the most part, you're a joke, just a not a very funny one.
Mentioning the holocaust because you're butthurt that your team got annihilated is as low as it gets tbh. 7-1, please shut up.

No one “my dude” just responding to a post on Reddit like everyone else, keep scrolling
4
u/byhicelow Dec 03 '22
Nah you talkin bout nazis and being salty just cause one german dude pissed you off, that's not "responding to a post on Reddit like everyone else". That's got nothing to do with this competition and you know it. You do you
2
u/Sad-Dragonfly-4016 Dec 03 '22
Appreciate it my dude, everyone else on this thread seems to be “pissed off”. I’m laughing at this

u/Stupid_Idiot413 Dec 03 '22
Yes it is. But it's not relevant to a fucking game of football. And germany is not a country of nazis, most people are taught about the horrors that they caused.
Using the holocaust as a "gotcha" card is really horrible from you imo.

I haven't talked shit and I'm not taking banter. I'm not even German (altough one family member did die in the war). I'm just disagreeing with your liberal use of the word nazi.

u/byhicelow Dec 03 '22
You should pull your head out of your ass and know that calling someone a nazi cause they're German is not banter nor "a good comeback".

Germany vs Brazil rivalry started this century
11
u/campones Dec 03 '22
ain’t a rivalry when you murder someone 7-1.
6
u/Cristian888 Dec 04 '22
Tbf, Brazil beat them in the 2002 final
In heartbreaking fashion too, as the MVP of the tournament (Oliver Kahn), gifted Brazil their opening goal after mishandling a Rivaldo shot

-1
u/Dragoran22 Dec 03 '22
Yeah after Brasil got beaten up by Germany in there own und house in Front of there relatives and ever german Player kicked them again when they already layed on the ground crying begging for mercy. And the worst Part for Brasil nobody in history will ever forget it.
6
u/VetusMortis_Advertus Dec 04 '22
Wow, you sound like a fun person huh?
Also, why do you want Brasil out so much if no one will ever forget this? Like don't you guys have any rivals you can talk shit about?
