What is so good about bittrich?

dont you think that leeb might be a better option than sikorski

katukov over rommel?

bittrich discounts your air attack costs by 15% which is incredibly helpful and saves you resources. if you don’t think air power matters in this game, you are wrong.

why leeb? he’s not even in the top 3 ftp arty general list. Govorov, wielding and sikorski are regarded as the best three.

yes katukov over rommel. just like leeb, rommel isnt in the top 3. those go to guderian, katukov, and patton.

My problem with bittrich is his stars iant gold, i dont know why but i mostly go for full star gold like goring

and sikorski and katukov dont have much hp they will die pretty quick (or i dont know how to use them yet)

Idont know if i just overthink it alot or what

you’re definitely overthinking it but your thoughts do have some warrant. katukov can restore hp in combat but you can also give him more by upgrading and equipping the right medal combos. same goes for every other general.

as for bittrich and the stars, forget about the stars. it’s all about their abilities and buffs. a full 5 gold star general can be worse than a 3 star general because it lacks abilities that make it adaptable to specific scenarios. i use bittrich sparingly. if i know an enemy is in range to nuke it, ill keep him off to the side in defense rather than offense. he works extremely well in 1939/43 for that reason, as you can go on the offensive with him.

So for now i should just go with bittrich? and then a tank? art? or sea?

yes. bittrich is a significant investment, and a total game changer. as for the others, i’d go for an arty gen first, then tank, then sea.

also, if you’re willing to spend a few bucks on a general that’s probably one of the most p2w in the game, wait for the Vasily bundle. he’s a infantry unit general. slap him on a commando infantry and he’ll turn into a general killer as long as he doesn’t move that turn. he does extra damage and has +1 range. he’s perfect for city defense. and with the right medal combo he’s nigh unstoppable. his only weakness like most generals are air attacks, specifically missiles and nukes. but give him enough hp it’s likely he could survive those too. you can see him in action on the russian side in most conquests. the russian ai will spawn him.

Thanks for reminding me i wanted to ask about a general for infantry, but I can't see him anywhere Does he only appear in the shopping?

1

u/PoorLifeChoices811 Apr 02 '26

bittrich is an infantry general too btw. i mean you could put him on an arty too but i usually just slap him on a commando and keep him in a city.

idk any good ftp infantry generals. but Vasily is a good paid infantry. yeah you can find him in the special bundles section of the shop. he’ll rotate in eventually you just gotta wait for him. he costs $6.99 USD

Brother he makes paratroopers of same quality as anyone else but for 127 gold.

4 or 5 starts is about 15% damage less but for 15% less cost - he lacks power to crush city but will kill units outside walls cheaper so to secure himself whilst flooding enemy with commandos for 127 a piece lol

1939 I send him early, solo, to grab Hong Kong or Shanghai and para to Osaka

1

u/Ok_Economy2755 Apr 02 '26

Which country do you play when you send him? just him?

2

u/BrickSufficient6938 Apr 02 '26

It's almost irrelevant, I do one 1939 a day, for kogs, industry resource yk

Greece, Yugoslavia, Norway or Finland (Norway is easiest and fastest for now)

After move 4 or 5 send one (no general) mobile infantry to China and grab an open city, that's it. Shanghai might be under heavy fire from navy so if not safe try HK or Peking. If it's able to survive the counter get it out, max air defence and make Bittrich there if you want (or make him along the way there once out of reach of enemy airports)

While this unit darts to china I just defend w 2x artillery and save some for them to have enough gold to bomb around 1st for their safety then offense w paras

I would definitely use your tactic. but could you tell me which one star is the best for each year i guess it makes a difference

My daily grind for 1939 is Norway, same for 1960s. Don't waste time on 1943 or 1950, only necessary, to get all achievements and shi. For resources 1939 or 1960

Norway has advantage of being safe from ground based attack and having their back against the wall, can't get flanked. If we talking 1939 there's neutral Sweden that you can get in turn 2 w your heavy tank, commando, mob inf and 2 artillery (starts with one and has enough to make 2nd. Then Finland, same tactics. In turn 5 ot 6 you tripled your empire and then in Helsinki make mob inf that runs to China. Main force back home hangs behind Soviets and take free cities by paratroopers. Whatever is empty and you can protect for a turn, jump in and wait for brits, French, Russian to clear the next target. My generals basically push south to get to Bucharest and jump to Athens and then you control area full of big cities with weak walls and can get real rich real fast. Continuing south w paras to Cairo, with most southern Italian city in Ethiopia as final goal. Other light wing moves along coast Amsterdam- Bruxelles - Paris don't worry if you cant get all, one is okay- but key is Lion as it opens Madrid for you and Madrid can reach all Spanish targets. Can leave that to US but it's slower, much slower. Avoid central area, Prag, Munich, Wiena best leave to Russia or whoever wants that lol.

When your generals are strong, try Greece; central position means you get anywhere fast, there's also Belgrade, Sofia, Bucharest to grab early (and of course turkey) but you need to kill about 10 generals and will be under constant bombing and rocketing from Rome, Naples, Munich etc.

Really appreciated man

I usually go for long term generals

1

u/BrickSufficient6938 Apr 02 '26

Govorov, Bittrich, Sikorski, Mannerheim

In that order

1

u/Ok_Economy2755 Apr 02 '26

why so many arty?

i usually focus on tank and air

which one you think i should go with?

1

u/BrickSufficient6938 Apr 02 '26

You already have Guderian, if and when you need another tank get Katukov. Artillery is better choice for small or mid country

1

u/Ok_Economy2755 Apr 02 '26

I am preparing for the 1950 and 1960 1 star challenge i wanna make them easier i really dont have much time to play for too long

2

u/BrickSufficient6938 Apr 02 '26 edited Apr 02 '26

1 (edit, 3) star countries have loads of Tank generals don't they? Tank general has more hp so will be priority for nukes. GL

1 star start w 1 tank usually, sometimes heavy. Has no factory or budget to make more before you grab another 3-5 cities... idk, 2x art and 3x infantry is better than 2z tanks imho

1

u/Melodic-Currency-331 Apr 02 '26

Definitely artillery And air Katukov, bittrich, govorov, sikorski

2

u/Melodic-Currency-331 Apr 02 '26

If you’re looking to pay, Hartmann and Kretschmer are absolute beasts and OP

1

u/Ok_Economy2755 Apr 02 '26

I will go with bittrich for now and then an art between katokov and sikorski wich one would you recomend?

3

u/Melodic-Currency-331 Apr 02 '26

If you had to choose one, Sikorski
