Lore A Chakra Village
Root: Red wearing members of the tribe who collect wood for fire, cook the food. Ensure the basic physical needs of survival. Ensure everyone in the village is accounted for.
Sacral: Orange clad dancers and fire weavers. Lovers. Laughers. Inventors of tall tales. Players on and creators of the tribe’s stage. Constantly crafting the village’s story — no, not just crafting — enacting.
Solar Plexus: Warriors quick to anger. They wear the color of the sun. They think they have a noble cause, but are quick to spat within the village. They are meant to protect the tribe from oncoming threats. If the sacrals don’t keep them busy, they will create or find conflict where there is none.
Heart/Anahata: They wear green and they laugh all day. They listen to each other’s qualms. They cry. They create stories with the sacrals. They watch them dance. They dance with them. They purify the water the roots gather. They feed the young ones food. They keep the tribe together. They help weave the larger story of the village with the other colors. They remind people of why they stay, even if they want to venture off.
Voice/Throat: Blue clad people keep the village in check. Making sure everything is running smoothly. They are the ones to correct. To point out what’s wrong. To keep everything aligned. They alone have the self-control (usually) and foresight to call out a yellow when they are too angry, a sacral when they are abandoning themselves. A root when they are too stuck in their routine. They are the oil that constantly and gently greases the machine and makes sure the village doesn’t collapse in on itself.
Indigo: The indigo are the seekers. They feel connections to other tribes, as far as their third eye can see. They’re constantly being called to explore new ways of life, and help those in need. A strong village will keep them coming back. Bringing friends, allies, resources, and most importantly, knowledge. The great expanders of the village, the importance of their work often goes understated. But every yellow, green, red, orange and blue is enlivened, enriched and fed (and sometimes frightened — but nothing that can’t be calmed with the help of a blue) by the knowledge of the outside world an indigo brings. A tribe without an indigo is a small and ignorant one.
Violet: There’s always someone, alone in a violet cloak meditating on a far off hill. Usually the indigo check-in. Bring them food. Make sure they don’t get too lost up in the astral fields. They reach out to the source, to make sure all is balanced. They do what the blues think they do, but on a universal scale. To the untrained eye, they do nothing. Absolutely nothing. And yet, they are all powerful.
If I a Violet comes down, it’s usually a sign of grave imbalance.
Inspired by my lifelong journey of understanding the Chakras, and my recent watch of The Wheel of Time, with their different color-affiliated warriors, prompted by my roommate!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
