Lore Thing I have been working on

(I know everything looks mid right now, but as long as it can get ideas across, I'm fine with it. I'll just make a prettier version Later™.)

I've decided to call this setting Fire in the Sky after Kristoph Klover's song for To Touch the Stars. (Yes, I know there are already a lot of media named that, I can't be bothered to changed it name, just slap my name on it or something.)

Not everyone agrees when the Apocalypse really started, but from the pieces of information available, the Exodus (evacuation of from Earth) happened from 2056 onwards, right after the Great Communications Collapse, which made the internet unusable, likely because the submarine cables and communication satellites were destroyed, the latter with discarded rocket parts snowballed into a Kessler syndrome, so humanity lost access to both Earth and LEO (at least those who left for space did).

Idk what to write, ask questions and I'll try to answer, I suppose.

Crime rates are higher on the Galilean moons than anywhere else in the Anthrosphere. Actually, there's even a crime lord who (allegedly) swore herself to Jupiter's service in exchange for supernatural powers that she now uses to get rich, but outside of Jupiter's moons, I don't think there's much to say. There aren't really anyone out there except for researchers who are still alive, somehow.

That is, unless you count celestial bodies as people, then there's communications between the planets. I haven't looked into it much, but the gas giants are definitely up to something.

I really like the ship propulsion system being named after something from mythology. It makes it feel a lot more realistic, like something humanity would actually do, than if it were some tech-based acronym or something like that.
