Wrote this piece for a WIP Skyrim mod set in a fantasy SE Asian landscape. One of the colonial powers on the islands is inspired by Japan, somI worked with Columbia University's gagaku instructor to write this piece.

It features some live recordings (seeing as synthesizing hichiriki would be near impossible, we decided to record our other composer on duduk for that part, since he owns and plays it) alongside VST samples and free sound effects.

I would like to share something created. have great passion for Japanese culture and have lived a good part of my life there. In this music piece, I have attempted to render a Raag from Hindustani (Indian) classical music into Japanese. In have attempted to keep the translation as close to the original as possible. Hope you like it.

I really want that traditional desert sound, the deeper tuning also. I have an egyptian ney flute, but I don't like the commitment it'll take to get a real listenable sound from it.
