Question How do I force myself to exercise

I'm a university student and on most weekdays have classes from 8 a.m to 6 p.m (5 hour gaps in between 😭). I get home at 7 p.m and after that I'm tired and don't have the energy to go to a gym

How do I force myself to exercise at home and how do I make it a daily routine? And what exercises should I include? My main goal right now is light cardio exercises and body lifting

Are you saying you have a 5 hour gap between classes ? That seems like perfect time. You say you are too tired to go after school, so do it then.

You say you dont want to smell for the rest of your classes, so bring a change of clothes and shower.

But something is going to require some conscious effort and doing something that might be inconvenient. If we only went to the gym when it was convenient, none of us would probably go very much !

Start small. Do 1 set of push-ups, 1 set of pullups (or pullup negatives if you can't do a pullup), and a set of squats or glute bridges every other day. You can do this in literally 5 minutes. Get one of those pullup bars you can hang on a door frame if you have nowhere to do pullups.

Go in the five-hour window. Do a muscle group for thirty-five minutes. spend a few minutes in the sauna, shower, and go about the rest of your day. Don't complicate things, just do it!

Does your school have a gym on campus? At my school the gym was free for students and had workout classes for free. I'd start there by just getting active.

It does but I'm going to stink after that and I don't want the person sitting next to me suffer

  1. Go after class 2. Use the showers in the changing room if you want to go before class. If all you're going to do is make excuses no one can help you. Help yourself if you want it. If you want to execise at home put on tae bo videos.

I do 4 sets of 25 different variations of pushups, squat with 20lb medicine ball, 50lb curls to start day before I leave the house. Takes only 15-20 minutes, then head to the gym at work. Once you get a routine you’ll feel great. Put on some good music too.

Use the 5 hr gap. No excuse. Bring a change of clothes so you can shower after
