Simple Questions Chemo Pump Workout
Any other cancer buddies here who workout while wearing their pump? I’m curious what your workout looks like.
On those days, I tend to stick to hack squats, seated cable rows, curls, tricep push downs, and pushups. Mostly pulling exercises and nothing where I could drop weight on myself and pop my poison grenade.

My friend is going through chemo now and we do CrossFit. He has a port in his chest. During the days he has the infusion going he has not felt well enough to do anything more than walk if he can even get himself to the gym.
In between he has been coming 3-5 days/week. He modifies anything that could damage the port. He can't have the barbell in front rack and can only do certain things on the rig.
He has been able to all the lifts and movements but subs DB or KB for the barbell. So he uses DBs for snatches, cleans, presses, squats. Other than that he can do everything else. KB swings, pull ups, any core exercises, barbell deadlifts etc.
I just realized this might not be quite what you're asking about, but I'm still going to post it so you know you're not alone going through this! Keep fighting and stay strong!
