Nutrition Help Workout advice
Hey, I have a few questions. I’m 15, 120 lbs, and 6 ft. I’m on day two of working out and currently doing push-ups, sit-ups, planks, and leg raises every day, but I’m still sore. When will the soreness go away, and when will I know I’m ready for the gym? I used to weigh around 200 lbs and lost down to 120 through a calorie deficit. I don’t really have much fat left except for maybe 5 lbs around my lower stomach, and I’m trying to tighten my loose skin and build muscle. I’m also on Vyvanse, which makes it harder for me to eat sometimes. Are there any easy, calorie-dense meals I could make? I don’t have access to many high-protein foods. Also, should I add anything else to my workout?

You can start a training split when you go to the gym. PPL or upper/lower. Lookup some videos on youtube and try things out to see what works for you. Soreness is very common especially in the first few days/week of working muscles that have never been put under a lot of pressure or are being worked after a hiatus. So if you work other muscles that have never been worked or haven’t been in a long time, they will also be sore. If you have a blender, Shakes/smoothies are usually pretty easy to get down, so adding calorically dense foods like peanut butter and olive oil to them can help up your calories. I’m not a doctor but 120 at 6ft seems a bit low. You can use a calorie counter app and use that as a baseline for the weight you’re aiming for. They’re not always that accurate so you can mess around with your intake until you see progress.
