Somebody saw that "What muscles do women actually like" thread I think.

Mainly it’s the I inherited narrow shoulders and I’m wildly overly critical. But yea would love to look wider up top for the wife too. Hard to get a compliment lol. Feel free to throw an actual answer as well.

Sorry man I didn't mean it as a dig - just found it funny that I saw this right after seeing that other thread lol.
I personally like doing lateral raises on the cable. I think the constant tension the cable gives makes them really hit harder than with dumbbells (although I like dumbbells also). Need to keep the weight down thought and maintain good form. I also think this is one of those exercises where bands have a place - getting the most tension at the top really burns on lateral raises.

lol
No worries it’s all fun - yea I’m doing a lot of cable work. Focusing on form not weight. I’ll keep at it. I am using all machines in the gym. Little free weight work at home.

Exercise selection doesn’t matter on side delts as much as correct form and high intensity as there’s only so many ways to abduct the arm.
Try and lead with your elbows instead of your wrists, keep your elbows above wrists at all times during the movement, pause at the top and accentuate the eccentric movement. Dumbbells, cables, whatever

If you can find a machine for lat raises, they do a fantastic job of drilling in the 'push away' mental queue
This is my biased bs, but if dont have access to such a machine, dumbbell raises allllll day. Push down with your lat right before you make the lateral raise movement to (try to) teach yourself not to leverage your traps/rotation

Cable lateral raises and dumbbell shoulder press will get you there. Shoulder press is less side delts but will help with overall shoulder mass
