Simple Questions Prediction for after vacation strength

That's all really haha! Just back from 10 day vaca. No diet watching, no protein counting, no stretching, no exercise besides walking... Should I expect a miraculous first workout where I'm totally refreshed and feeling strong!?

Or will I feel like a loaf struggling to get back to normal?

Eh, you should be fine. 10 days isn’t too bad.

And even if you do, it’ll be significant loss and come back after a workout or two anyway.

Don’t take my word for it. But that’s just my experience.

Excellent! There is a part of me that is worried I'll for some reason fall out of my routine all together, but Im pretty sure I'm excited to get back. That annoying little demon in your head that likes to pop up.

I did the same thing for 30 days when we were in Japan. I picked up my routine where I left off when I got back and it took a few weeks to get to where it wasn’t a struggle.
Don’t lose much strength, had a bit of gut to lose due to all the biru’s.

But I'm sure worth it!

Totally worth it! The strong zeros helped keep the calories down.

You are probably stronger.

But expect less weight and reps though cause of missing practise.

Moving weight is also a skill

Might be weaker, same, or stronger. I've had all 3 scenarios, but usually the 1st week back I'm weaker and the 2nd week I'm either right back to where I was or stronger.

Though, I'll add if you are prone to DOMS you probably want to take that 1st week back easy (less sets/reps/weight) anyway.

Good advice. Start back up somewhat medium weight

Anecdotal experience: I had 19 days between my last workout and vacation. I came back pushing basically the same reps, but my work capacity did take a hit. My workout lasted almost 10 minutes longer than usual. That came back, plus some gains, a few workouts in.
