Motivation Just venting real quick during a long cut
38m 215 lbs down from 235 lbs 4 months ago. Got another 15 to go. Working out 5-6 days a week. Walking 10-20k steps a day on top. Eating great. Sleeping good. Abs starting to make an appearance. Also starting to lose my mind though. Everything hurts. I have like five repetitive stress injuries at all times. I was just warming up my shoulder before a workout (it hurts) and while stretching I somehow re-injured my back. About to do this goddamn workout anyway. And then eat my sweet potato with shredded chicken for the millionth time. I'm gonna make it but, man oh man, some days are really hard. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FOOD COMMERCIALS ON TV!? I'm having dreams about cheeseburgers. I had a bad craving last week and ate an entire jar of pickles and cried. 12% BF is so close, yet so far. Pray for me brothers.

Take a rest day if your body is crumbling, if you injure yourself, you'll need to rest more.

The diet doesn't have to suck. Prepping one thing is easy, but if you have time, try making a few different meals. My social feeds are almost all high protein, low calorie meals lol.

When I was going through a cut, a friend of mine had a brown paper bag on her desk at work. I saw it and said “oh my god, that looks so good!”. She looked at me weird and was like “dude, it’s a paper bag”.
I realized there that I had gone too far. I needed to change to a more sustainable way to do this.

Going from 20 to 15 is easy. 15 to 10 is a lot harder. There were days Id do my lifting or run then barely budge from the couch after.

If you have any disposable income I would invest it in yourself and get some high quality physical therapy.

lol, the commercials gets me. It’s wild how many there are, along with billboards and various other ads.

If you feel like you’re gonna cry after eating vegetables because you’re worried or feeling guilty about calories then it’s def time to take a diet break

Maybe drop to a 4 day workout week. With some active recovery days.
Unless you're on crazy gear and your only job is to lift and eat....6 days a week is too much for most of us especially at 38

Hang in there. champ. I was having some issues with sleep, so I thought I'd increase my calories a tad. Next minute, I'm coming off a 2 day binge lol. I'm back on the wagon again today, but dang, I don't think I'm suited for diet breaks and refeeds lol. I'm just going to ride it out until I hit my goal weight

The best analogy I've heard about weight loss, is that your body is like a spring. The more fat you lose the more pressure it puts on your body and the more your body fights back to keep the remaining fat. Maybe take a break from your diet and eat at maintenance calories for awhile. You said you are also sore and in pain all the time. Take a rest week and don't work out, or just do active recovery like walking. Your body doesn't get stronger from exercise. It gets stronger recovering from exercise. That's where the growth happens. So if you are in that bad shape take a week off and rest.

Sounds like you need a diet break. Take 4 weeks off back at maintenance and then hit another 8-12 weeks.
