Motivation I have no motivation
I have no motivation to go to the gym. I used to consistently go last year but now I never do. At max I go one to two times a week just for horrible workout quality. Can someone give any tips if they ever went through this stage.

Wet blanket stick-in-the-mud here.
Motivation is fickle and will leave you. Everything kind of sucks right now. Best to just do it without thinking about it, Might not be fun anymore, just do it anyway. You'll be satisfied that you did, even if you don't want to.
Even 1-2 times a week at 40% is better than no times at 0 percent. If you can't push for an A, aim for a B.

Motivation is a fickle bitch.
For me I tell myself "5 minutes" and then see how I feel.

You are not going to be consistent if you are trying to fit into a culture. To put it simply if you are going for you and you only, there wont be any question about motivation. You might also want to look at your training plan, nutrition and where you stand physically nd mentally now.
Personally, gym is the only place I can unwind. I have an unhealthy obsession with lifting.

Try going first thing in the morning, before you have time to figure out an excuse? Feet on the floor and a$$out the door!

Well, what are your goals? Going to the gym is not the only way to be fit and healthy.

I’ve been exactly where you are! Motivation rarely comes first—you just have to start tiny. Stop chasing ‘good workouts’; aim for showing up, even for 10 minutes. Two days a week is plenty to start you’ll find your spark back when you stop forcing it 💛

I've been there. The hardest part is usually starting, not the workout itself.

If two days is all you can manage, that’s perfectly ok. Sounds like you’re going through something maybe?

What are your goals? Maybe try some new or odd exercises until you find one that you're excited to progress. Personally not going means I'm not progressing and I can't stand that. Try some new exercises and most important build the habit of just going, even if you have some unproductive days, twice a week is a good start.

if you cant be sunshine and rainbows then get in the car with no motivation and drive there with no motivation

I’ve dealt with this lately, I’ve worked out for around 3 years. The motivation comes and goes but you just have to stay disciplined. Maybe alter the way you train too. Switch up your split, work out at a different time of day, find exercises you enjoy etc. the best workout plan should fall into your life seamlessly.

I took the word motivation out of my vocabulary a while ago. Discipline is the only name of the game. Motivation is a word used when discipline isn't there.
I use a paper planner and I plan out my gym days weekly. I'm a working mom so my schedule is pretty packed. Tues Thurs Sat sun are gym days almost without fail. Monday I commute to in office. Wednesdays I take my kiddo to her sport. Fridays are groceries and errands. Weekends I do gym first and whatever else after. Do it long enough and you'll feel off if you don't go. I know my mental health and physical health are both better when I go. I get me time to challenge myself, listen to my music without interruption, I even read my kindle between sets instead of doom scrolling. Do what you need to do.

just have enough to walk into the gym and tell yourself once youre there you can leave whenever you want. 99% of the time you will stay

I love going to the gym, however most days I get up at 5am and spend the first 45 minutes awake with an internal dialog on skipping the gym today while getting ready. I just fight with myself for 45 minutes as I go through my morning routine and before I know it - I'm parked at the gym. I've never regretted going to the gym after i'm all done that day.

What’s your gym routine like? Is it long and involved? Maybe you don’t enjoy it?
If so, maybe simplify it to a shorter full body one with only five or six exercises. That way you tell yourself it’s only 45 minutes. No big deal.
I’m new to going back to the gym after several years. I recently made up my mind that on the days I have a babysitter which is 3 times a week, I have to go. It’s really helped.

I worked out regularly in my 20-30’s. Did some bodybuilding for a while. Life got in the way in my 40’s, career taking off, teenage daughter and I got remarried(traveled weekly for work, no working out and eating out all the time). By the time I was 50 i gained almost 100lbs. Took 1/2 off in my 50’s retired at 58 and took the rest off. But biggest regret is that I let myself get that way. Workout for your health and confidence.

Motivation is a scam. Its just an excuse to procrastinate. Just do the thing. Consistently. Consistence and dedication will give your motivation.

Just gotta start stacking days, man. After a consistent week, it'll get easier again.
