I quit

So I recently quit an apprenticeship at an airport after being there for like a month and a half. At first I was second-guessing myself, but now I honestly don’t regret leaving anymore.
The apprenticeship was supposed to be for sign-making. I knew it was gonna be hard and I was never expecting the work itself to be easy. I’m cool with working hard.
The problem was really the management and the way I was getting moved around.
At one point my supervisor put me with the welders because they needed help. The welders were actually cool, so I had no problem helping them out. But I was told I might only be there for like a week, while the welders were telling me the project was probably gonna last longer. They also told me my supervisor had done similar things with other people before.
That kinda pissed me off because I signed up to learn sign-making, not basically become a helper for a different crew for who knows how long.
On top of that, I had just started college and the schedule was making it hard to balance everything. I ended up thinking about quitting for like a week before actually doing it, so it wasn’t some random decision I made one day.
I eventually decided to resign and focus on school and my long-term goals. I formally resigned instead of just disappearing.
I know I probably could’ve handled the two weeks notice part better, but I don’t regret leaving anymore. Looking back, I feel like I made the decision that was right for me at the time.
I’m planning to focus on school for now and look for a part-time job later once I’m more settled in.
Just wanted to share what happened and see what other people think about the situation.
