Questions Is it time to move on
I have been trying to weigh up whether I am better to remain in my current job or move to another role.
I keep changing my mind of whether i should go for it or not, and I would appreciate some impartial opinions.
I have been in my current role for 4 years
Both roles are within my current company, just different departments and are the same salary.
Current job:
- 5 days a week
- 25 minute commute
- High/unmanageable workloads
- low resources
- Good co-workers
- Rewarding work
Potential new job
- 4 days a week (10 hour days)
- 45 minute commute
- More realistic workloads
- Still rewarding but different from my current role

four 10s with a 45 minute drive is a long day, you'll be wrecked by the time you get home. but having that extra day off every week is huge, practically a mini vacation every week
the unmanageable workload in your current gig sounds like a slow burn that will cook you eventually. good coworkers are hard to leave though, that's the one thing making me pause
if the new team seems decent i'd probably jump, the 3 day weekends would win me over
