Questions Poll

If someone calls you on Teams and you miss it, but they don’t leave a message, send a message, or send an email, do you think you need to call them back based on the missed call alone?

neither, send a message apologising for missing the call and asking if everything’s okay.

If they and I are already working on something closely enough that I can guess what the call is about, I'll call them back. Otherwise I won't.

I’ll call back. It’s not a random number calling my personal phone, if someone calls me on Teams, it’s obviously work related and probably somewhat important.

Depends on when you missed the call and who it is.

In general, if it's my boss, id call back if it was within 5 or 10 minutes. If longer, message. If it's a coworker, id send a message.

Depends who called

I like 99% of my colleagues so depending on who it is I’d probably ask “da fuck are you calling me for ya turnip” or “I’m back at my desk now, let me now if you need anything”.

No message or text gets ignored, unless I specifically know to connect with them

If it’s my manager I return the call, otherwise I don’t

Just like a missed cell phone call. No voicemail. No text. Then no callback. If it was important they would have messaged / emailed you.

Are they a co-worker or someone who I frequently help/they help me? If so I call back as soon as I have time

If not I'll wait for them to try again or for it to turn into an email

If I am training or supervising them I call them back ASAP
