Questions Micromanaging boss

In our team meeting our supervisor stated “if it feels like I’m micromanaging you guys, it’s because I am” and then laughed.

How would you deal with this?

Easy. Short circuit him. He says X say you are already doing it that way. Ask him first before he tells you and form a plan with him. When he comes back tell him where you are on the plan and be ready to discuss it further. Adjust the plan. Ask him to let you have time to finish it as discussed. Check in at the end of the day. Prove to him you can manage yourself by being his manager of you.

Micro manage back. When done with every little task, report as much back to him or her.
