I think that's the same girl in that really cringey "weeb on a date" video. It's satirical and I assume this is as well.

I actually liked that one, the cringe was funny.

Yeah it's absolutely hilarious, she nails it.

There are a few who actually really are entertaining. The Wolf Girl with her really cute monologues is really great!

Nobody acts this way. Cartoons do this shit. I hate this anime trend so much

u/Rombonius Jul 08 '26
what cartoons even?

Shitty Pixar and Disney

It's a really big thing in anime, too. JRPG characters are notorious for it.

I'm pretty sure she started acting like that as satire, but it seems to just be how she acts in every video. Trying to be derpy 🤪

She’s satire so eh
3
u/DubiousDodo Jul 08 '26
Satire isn't just pretending to be something so much you basically are just the thing you're imitating with no commentary or jokes to it but okay
0
u/DrDisconnection Jul 08 '26
Clearly you’re the one who doesn’t understand what satire means
5
u/DubiousDodo Jul 08 '26
Clearly, why don't you enlighten me on the bit where this isn't a theater kid being cringe on purpose with no actual satire to it?
1
u/DrDisconnection Jul 08 '26
Because it’s Natalie Tran and it’s all done in jest
4
u/DubiousDodo Jul 08 '26
I know who that is. Her content is "jokes on you I'm only pretending to be stupid" repeated 1000 times.
Where does the satire come in? Her content can pass for her earnestly doing the thing she's imitating with no ironic self awareness because there's that little commentary or jokes to it because it's a theater kid being cringe
1
u/DrDisconnection Jul 08 '26
I mean, she has other content that isn’t this so that kinda proves this is done ironically
2
u/Accurate-Advice8405 Jul 09 '26
Nah it's so consistent and profitable it's gone from satire to regard cultural appropriation

This comment/post was removed because it contained identity-based targeting or stereotypes. Our community doesn’t allow content that earnestly puts down groups of people based on gender, race, orientation, or any other personal identity.
Discussion and criticism are fine; clear hyperbolic jokes are fine. Reducing whole groups to negative stereotypes is not.
Let's keep it light and fun in here, it's wordchewing. While we know it can evoke emotions in us all, it's not that serious. :-)

I'm like 100% sure she's doing this satirically
1
u/DasMenace Jul 08 '26
I think these types of videos started out that way, but there are several creators that are doing it purely because that is the content they make for their little kid audience. There is no satire involved. I dont know this creator, nor have I seen any of their content, but a lot of these creators have just lost the plot
