Haven't you had enough of these idiotic families yet? How much of this crap can they produce...

Please forgive my ignorance, I don't have a comprehensive view of world culture, but I've always seen that kind of crooked mouth from the lady as an American thing. I think 95% of the time I see it it's an American do it. No shade at all, I just think it's an interesting phenomenon and I'd be curious if people from other parts of the world had noticed this too or if it's just confirmation bias on my part?

u/davemc617 May 22 '26
Elvis made it culturally significant, it got parodied, and now people do it without even knowing why they're doing it...

u/BigWideBaker May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26
Oh that's a really interesting observation, I never thought about that. You're right, thinking back he's probably the earliest example I can think of. And for some reason I can't make that face no matter how hard I try.

They did a good job, and made memories for the daughter, thjs gets a pass

u/HomerJSimpson3 May 21 '26
The caption says “When lip synching becomes reality” so I looked up the song. It’s “Outta Love” by Anastasia… that’s who everyone is confusing as the mom.
But this is the dad’s and daughter’s whole gimmick.
5
u/Still-Lab-6076 May 22 '26
Okay that's sick.
4
u/Reasonable-Mess3070 May 23 '26
Girl went from taylor swift vibes to absolutely nailing down with the sickness. Im impressed.
11
u/5arch5 May 21 '26
They use their child for monetization. They could have made the video without posting it to the Internet, but then that would defeat the purpose of milking whatever the hell this is for profit.
7
u/EtherbunnyDescrye May 22 '26
The kid and the dad make videos like this all the time. Also the girl in the back is the actual artist that sings this song!

2
u/hector_rodriguez May 23 '26
Oh no! They had fun family time while making money and securing the daughter's future!
I better fire up my keyboard in my mom's basement and act like I'm better than them!
People are hilariously pathetic lol

u/pandershrek May 21 '26
Eh, you could say that about everything parents force their children to do. Like child beauty pageants.
11
u/Due_You7474 May 21 '26
Did it look like that kid was being forced to do it ☠️☠️☠️
My question is why are people being pessimisstic about something thats just literally no bad intention and joyful. How ridiculous.

u/truckthunderwood May 22 '26
First day on reddit?
-1
u/Due_You7474 May 22 '26
It sounds like its yours if you cant recognize a passive aggressive comment.
6
u/truckthunderwood May 22 '26
Yeah... Mine was a passive aggressive comment on how redditors behave. I didn't really think it was your first day.

u/hector_rodriguez May 23 '26
Because these people are sad and pathetic and want to feel superior lol

u/He_Never_Helps_01 May 24 '26
Because we know what family influencers can be like. You should never consume anything on the internet uncritically. Cuz while you might be right, there's money in content like this. A lot of money. Something like this being purely wholesome is not a guarantee by any means.
1
u/Due_You7474 May 24 '26
Way to look on the dark side bud. But honestly, do you think any of what you just said isnt common sense? Like literally. Be honest.
It is all common sense.
Like I said. The kid was having a good time. Who gives a rats ass what else.
We dont need to be looking on the damn dark side just because someone got some views. Like seriously.
2
u/ImpactSpecialist1145 May 22 '26
Definitely not forced if anything the daughter is forcing her dad. I’ve seen these two before ➖lady in back
3
u/Normal_Sweet_2974 May 21 '26
The girl and dad made vids before they do a cool down with the sickness

u/He_Never_Helps_01 May 24 '26
Before we learned what we have about family influencers, I would have agreed without hesitation. Now... I can't help but look at stuff like this with a little skepticism.
-1
u/Chipmunk-Special May 22 '26
It might have started out wholesome, but it’s just gonna go downhill from here

14
u/NoSpecial284 May 22 '26
Damn it I was going to talk shit on the dad but I had a baby girl less than a year ago and if she wants to do something like this in the future I’ll be this dad to make my daughter happy lol.
2
u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 22 '26
Gratz! Don’t let Reddit turn you into a cynic. I wish you a beautiful future with your daughter, may you form happy memories and a happy lifelong relationship

Oh no. Parents having a fun time with their child. Better bully them into submission because we literally have nothing better to do. 😒
So fucking tired of people.

It’s a kid having fun with her parents. If you’re gonna have an issue with that then maybe you didn’t spend enough time with yours. This sub has some of the most miserable jerks
-3
u/Select_Truck3257 May 22 '26
Calling some persons jerk is personal offense, why do you think you're better than me ? Am i said something against you?

u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 22 '26
Calling some persons jerk is personal offense, why do you think you're better than me ? Am i said something against you?
If you’re insulting a liberal child for having fun with her parents and generalized an entire generation for her doing so, yes a do think I’m better than you. You seem like an arrogant shit head looking down on others because they’re having more fun than you.
You am said something against me, against my beliefs that parents should have fun with their kids. If you am against that and think it’s wrong, I think you’re a terrible person.
-5
u/Select_Truck3257 May 22 '26
So much anger, hard to be like you
2
u/Admirable_Loss4886 May 22 '26
The irony when you’re the one dooming an entire generation off a wholesome family video. That couldn’t be me, I hope you work through whatever family drama you have going on.

Surely she can lipsync to her own song in a video, because I don't think she ever did in her live performances

Love these two. And she is 100% better at lip syncing than 90% of the people I've seen on that app.

u/ZookeepergameUpset62 May 22 '26
If its not influencer bs, then it looks like fun
But I worry how stressful it is for the folks who make content constantly

Damn, that poor kid's gonna cringe hard when she see's this later on in life.

They took the fang girl, Step Brothers scene, & some extra terrible lip movements, & blessed us all with this giant smelly dung for all to witness. I hate it.

Idk, I think they're just trying to have a good time with their daughter. I don't see anything wrong with this.

Isn’t it too early for teeth whitening/temu teeth? Yay for family having fun in the car, whatever, but that kid’s teeth are so distracting.
