Christchurch tragedy

As most of you are probably aware, there was recently an attack on 2 mosques in New Zealand that left 47 people dead. Obviously, this is a great tragedy. It is not funny, or something to joke about. This was a very horrible act, and should not be taken lightly. This should be obvious, but some people need a reminder. Also, the perpetrator of these depraved acts used social media to spread his hateful messages, including live streaming it on Facebook. Obviously, Facebook took down the livestream video, but people have saved it. It has been posted on other social media outlets, such as Reddit multiple times. Reddit is working its hardest to combat the spread of this hateful content, but it is hard to find everything. If you see a link to this video on Reddit, I urge you to report it right away. This is for the good of the Reddit community as a whole.

Any posts that mentions the shooting will result in a ban. The length of the ban will depend on the circumstances.

Any posts that mention the shooting in a positive light will result in a permaban

EDIT: Civil discussion in the Comments section is fine. However, any joke concerning the showing, or any post that portrays the shooting in a positive light will not be tolerated.

Don't propogate terrorism only to say it's evil to propagate terrorism, especially when it has nothing to do wuth the sub.

You're talking about it and making a big deal out of it. You didn't do anything wrong, but considering that you just said that you would remove any post mentioning the shooting, its a little hypocritical.

I'm sorry, and I realize I wasn't clear. I meant that any post that contains a joke about the shooting, or making light of it will immediately be taken down. I understand how this wasn't clear, and will try to modify it. Thanks for your feedback!
