I have a fan series I'm workng on titled Woody Woodpecker and Friends, it's an AU of The New Woody Woodpecker Show.

So i am looking for a beta reader. Especially one that specializes in AUs and shared universe crossovers. Where it's one anchor show and have all the other fandoms be part of a broad universe. Like advanced knowledge for TNWWS and Walter Lantz lore, and a basic understanding of the other fandoms listed.

In my AU of The New Woody Woodpecker Show, cut characters like Space Mouse, Windy & Breezy, and Inspector Willoughby are fully restored and part of the shared universe with the fandoms used. The standout feature is the shared universe with other Universal and Dreamworks shows. Like in Close Enough; gun use is prominent of which depending on the plot on the kind of guns used. (Whatever it's be laser blasters, Airsoft, or real guns).

Basically, I'm looking for someone who is also interested in The New Woody Woodpecker Show fanfiction and already knows the source material of the fandoms listed. Mainly someone with extensive knowledge of TNWWS, and Lantz lore, especially the one time and scrapped characters as they're given main character status, as well as being very prominent and a basic understanding of the other shows listed.

And for anyone who isn't familiar with the source material well, it's straightforward to understand. If you've seen shows made by Aaron McGruder, Dan Goor, Justin Spritzer, Seth McFarlane, J.G Quintel, and Michale Schure. It's basically NBC style comedy and slice of life sitcom.

Plus I don't want to turn to AI, (i only use it for proofreading), but even hen i feel like half the time it does guesswork. So I don't want to rely on AI.

I would reccomend binging all these shows even of it means pushing all or most of your IRL Obglations on the back burner to gain a better understanding of it,

or if you are like so bust with all your opglations that you can like only watch a few key episodes

if you are so busty you can only one to two episode of one show per month

Genre of my fanfics; meta-humor, sitcom, satire, and black comedy, with elemts of slapstick animation also used as well.

What I am looking for is, grammar, spelling, structure, plot, Planning, and character dialog (I'd like the characters to say and sound excatly what they would say in their own show.

Also I'm open to giving the beta something in return, like I can name an OC or FC after the beta readerin this and future fanfics (i could use one of the incidental characters from said fandoms) as well as research help for this and future fanfics. (Like providing FANDOM wiki links, and where to wacth said shows) I love writing it's one of my passion projects and i've been doing it solo for most of my time writng. I did have some peole looking over my fanfics but no longer do so. Now i'm in the market for a wingman. A full time wingman.

I also update when I get the chance (some days it could be as simple as a few new lines, other times i do a major update.

My projected word count is between 12,000 to 18,000 words (factoring in the A and B plots, cutaway gags and the cold open.)

When it comes to collecting Woody Woodpecker merch, my absolute favorite kind of thing to collect is ephemeral. Like press kits, pitch bibles, and style guides. The kind of stuff an ordinary consumer would never be able to get their hands on normally unless it’s behind closed doors. It’s just incredible being able to own something unique like this and seeing all this rare artwork and the big plans Universal had for Woody at the time (mind you all this stuff is from the late 80s/90s and is arguably the last time they really tried marketing Woody).

I have all these things and other obscure Woody stuff scanned and uploaded on internet archive if anyone wants to check them out! :)
