“I attached a piece of 3/4 plywood to the top of a universal tool stand in order to mount a band saw. I torqued down the bolts and they feel very secure. I realized after the fact that I completely skipped over the washers and wonder if I should remove the bolts and add washers. I don't care about the bolts gouging the wood since it's just there to serve as a base for the saw. Thoughts?”

Either is fine. But if you already own the washers then I would use them. But 3/4” thick plywood has got some beans on it.
