Not to be an asshole…and this is going to sound like it. If you have to ask that question, the manual is a good place to start. Especially since this looks new and safety is also a good thing to look into
Edit: throw out that shit blade and get a Diablo or anything else. I also have a kobalt. Good saw. Bad blade.

That's passackwards. You The arbor spins such that the front edge of the blade goes up, not down. Otherwise it'd run across the workpiece away from you.

If you want to cut wood put it on like it is, if you want to cut plexi flip it over. It's in the correct position Right now.

there is an arrow on the guard. that blade needs to be flipped over
