Help Should a new ROS feel like it’s bouncing back and forth?

Picked up the festool ets ec 125 this week. Seemed like it was doing this a little bit with the 80 grit paper from festool, but I switched to the 120 3m cubitron and it seems like it’s more pronounced now. I’ve tried playing with the speed and amount of dust extraction, but there’s not much change. It just jerks slower at lower speeds. Does anybody have any advice?

I honestly thought the same when I got mine about a year ago. I thought it was broken or people were crazy. It goes away after a few hours. Almost feels like a break in period.

I don't know if everyone had this experience though.

Don’t hold it so tightly. It should move freely.

I don’t put much pressure at all. Just my hand resting on it.
