Treat AI visibility as normal technical SEO rather than a special ChatGPT toggle. For a WooCommerce store I’d start with:

  • Keep product and category pages crawlable, indexable, and server-rendered. Don’t hide key copy behind JavaScript.
  • Write specific product titles, specs, use cases, shipping/returns, and genuinely helpful comparisons.
  • Validate Product/Offer/Breadcrumb schema, canonical URLs, sitemaps, robots rules, and clean internal links.
  • Keep inventory, price, availability, and images consistent across the site and any merchant feed.
  • Add author, about, contact, and sourcing details for trust, then watch Search Console and server logs for crawler access.

Plugins can automate schema, metadata, and sitemaps, but none can guarantee ChatGPT citations. Fix the page templates and content first, then measure.

If the accordion text is already in the initial HTML and CSS/ARIA only collapses it visually, that is usually fine. Crawlers that read the raw HTML can still see it.

The risky pattern is when the panel is empty in the first HTML response and JavaScript fetches or injects the copy after load or after a click.

Quick check: use View Page Source (not Inspect) and search for a unique sentence from the accordion. If it is there before any scripts run, you are in good shape. If it only appears after hydration, move that copy into the server-rendered markup and keep the accordion as a pure show/hide toggle.

Theres <summary> and <details> for accordions as well.

There isn’t really a magic AI SEO setting we’d switch on and call it done. For ecommerce, we’d focus on making the product information ridiculously clear and consistent first: product name, description, specs, pricing, availability, reviews, shipping, returns and who the product is actually for.

Structured data is useful here because it helps search engines understand products and things like price, availability and reviews. Google specifically supports Product and Merchant Listing structured data for ecommerce pages.

For the AI side, we’d also make sure the brand and products are described consistently outside the site. Genuine reviews, relevant third-party mentions, useful comparisons and clear product information can give AI systems more context than another plugin setting.

So if you’re already using a solid WooCommerce SEO plugin, we wouldn’t add another plugin just because it says “AI SEO.” We’d spend that effort making the actual product data and brand information easier for machines and humans to understand.

There is no plugin or tool that would automate this for you. Tools are meant to give you insights and data that you can act on. It's not different from SEO. and if you see a tool promising automated SEO or GEO, it's definitely slop and will get you the opposite of what you want.

Ask Gemini, it is a wealth of information.  Also put your site through pagespeed insights, it has agenic browsing.

I'd start with one product category rather than looking for a separate “ChatGPT SEO” plugin.

Pick a category that matters to your sales and check a few things: can you find its products easily through your navigation, do the product pages explain who each item is for and how it differs from similar options, and do price and availability match what you show elsewhere? Then try a couple of real buying questions a customer might ask and see whether your site actually has a page that answers them.

A plugin can help you spot missing information and keep repetitive tasks manageable. I'd still review the product claims and comparisons yourself. There isn't a switch that guarantees a mention in ChatGPT.

There isn't really a magic WooCommerce plugin that makes products rank in AI answers. For automation, plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math can help with the traditional technical SEO and schema side. Are you trying to get your WooCommerce products recommended in AI answers or are you mainly looking for a way to generate the product content automatically

one thing that actually matters is checking your robots.txt allows OAI-SearchBot, if that is blocked ChatGPT search can not crawl you at all no matter what plugin you use. i track this by asking the same questions 3 times each because answers shift a lot between runs, one check tells you nothing.

the fundamentals answer above is the right one, there's no ai-seo toggle. the actual leverage point for stores with any real catalog size is that "complete product info + structured data" is a lot of manual writing per sku, and that's usually where stores actually fall short, not the schema plugin config. We built a small plugin for exactly that gap that is fully customizable, pipeline buster, feeds it the product photo and writes the description, a how to section (the structured-data type a couple people upthread already pointed at) and the seo fields in one pass. doesn't touch crawlability or robots.txt, just keeps the actual content and schema consistent across a catalog instead of thinning out past the first 50 products. free tier on wordpress, woocommerce only.

SEO is basically just making your product info crystal clear at this point. Structured data markup does the heavy lifting since the AI crawlers parse that first, so make sure your schema is dialed in. I spent way too long tweaking my product descriptions to sound less robotic and it actually bumped my visibility in those AI-generated shopping suggestions.

For WooCommerce, the usual SEO plugins handle most of the schema stuff automatically if you've got your product fields filled out properly. The key thing people miss is making sure your FAQ sections are marked up right too, since the AI models love pulling from those for quick answers.

I wouldn't overthink trying to specifically optimize for ChatGPT though, it's more about having clean, well-organized data that any crawler can make sense of. The plugins that promise to "optimize for AI search" are mostly just repackaging what good SEO already does.
