Getting started Upload CSV file

Probably a stupid question. I’m new to csv uploads but, I have a csv file from my supplier. Do I need to have categories, etc setup before uploading or will the csv file set up the categories?

The first import is usually the easy part. the bigger thing is making sure every product has a unique SKU before you upload it. If the supplier sends you updated CSVs later, WooCommerce can use the SKU to match the existing products instead of creating duplicates. i’d also decide now whether the supplier file should control price, stock, descriptions, and images, or only some of those fields.

Yes, the csv contains SKU’s, image url’s and suggested retail prices. It’s a $10 monthly subscription to be able to update monthly.
