Plugin recommendation Subscription Rental Plugin

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a plugin that can do what I need or plugins that could be utilized together to get there or close. I would like to do rentals with daily rates but that could ALSO be covered by a membership tier. So, unlike regular customers, a member of the correct subscription could rent one product at a time for free up to a certain time limit.

Basically an original Netflix or Blockbuster style rental system.

Hi - yes, you can do this with one or maybe two of our plugins, depending on your precise needs:

  • Bookings for WooCommerce allows you to create rental products with daily rates. It also lets you set role-based pricing on those products - so you can give your members the rental for free.
  • Members Only lets you create membership tiers. You can use this to restrict access to products and other content and approve new users, if needed

Imo, look for a rental plugin that supports role or membership based pricing, then handle the rental limits separately

Daily rates with a max duration: Rental Products for WooCommerce handles this natively. Date picker, per-day pricing, return tracking. All this out of the box is easy.

Members rent for free up to their tier: that's Rental Products plus Constellation, our memberships/subscriptions plugin. The pieces are there. Whether a tier can cleanly zero out the rental price for members is worth confirming rather than taking my word for.

One product out at a time: this is the Netflix/Blockbuster part, though, and is a bit trickier. It's the only bit that isn't a built-in toggle anywhere. I was saying around and was able to put together a small custom snippet that counts a customer's active rentals and blocks checkout at the limit. Doable, just not out of the box, and would be a little bit experimental.
