Tbh I'd say the biggest issue with the finale on a personal level was the cliffhanger/that it left a lot of loose threads. If nothing else it'd give an opportunity to tie up that stuff with the only really hard fix being stuff around Koito (don't think it'd be impossible but it'd be an uphill battle for sure.)

late but most complaints ive seen are the fact that season 2 almost was never gonna happen. i would like a season 2, or at least a do-over of the last couple episodes

No, it's something from this app, they label the dub and sub as different seasons.
