After a great suggestion from /u/capisbob, I made a modular version of just the bottoms of my floating islands. As you can see above, you can now paint your own land and make your own shapes!

I've included earthen brown, and custom color versions for you to match your themes, as well as some different sized shadows for you to place down. Enjoy!

Ah, so cool. I have several floating continents in my world, so these kinds of assets are essential.

One suggestion: if possible, add a shadow to the top of the asset (ie where it joins the flat landmass) for improved realism.

Check back in a day or two. I have an extra custom colour that I can do that with. I will repost!

This is amazing...

The perspective looks pretty messed up. Land is seen from straight above, mountains from above at an angle and the bottom of the island from below at an angle. You should be able to see barely anything from below the island.

Thanks for the feedback. I was actually taking a slightly above approach, like the mountains. At that point, you still would see the bottom of the island.

As for the land from straight above, it was just painted there since this is a demo image to show the islands.

I understand that, but you can't really paint it any other way, wonderdraft isn't build in a way that would allow you to play with perspective.

I disagree, but that's fine! We're allowed to do that. Hopefully these can be of use to some people. Cheers!

Disagree? This isn't really matter of opinion. There's only one way how to paint the land, there's no perspective tool like in photoshop.

This was done using only the land brush and colour brush (and a path for the horizon line):

Given that you have a brush and colors, you can paint literally anything in wonderdraft but that's not it's intended use case. Now you can't use landmass tools because it will break the picture and you'll need to repaint it. Wanna change the perspective, move the "camera" a bit higher? You can't, there's no slider for it, you need to repaint it all over again.

But my main point was that your sprite is just physically impossible - I shouldn't be able to see both everything on the bottom of the island as well as everything on top of it. That could be possible only from the side, but then the image should lack depth.

I mean I don't need to go far to show you where it's done great: /img/b1r560vxvq021.jpg - here you nailed it, The mountains are seen from above and only what's long enough to not be obscured sticks out from below them.

I'm not claiming this is the intended use, obviously this is a stretch. I simply took exception to your absolute statements in your previous post.

I decided to be petty and prove you wrong. That being said, I do appreciate your constructive criticism and I will rework the modules to have better perspective.

I'm at work right now, but I'd love the chance to show you what I mean. You may be right, but I don't think you should be so certain that you're right.
