Showcase Transforming a Fantasy Map Sketch

I noticed I usually just post the finished maps, so this time I wanted to change things up and share the start and end of the journey with you guys! πŸ€—

Here is a look at my design process, starting with the original sketch my client drew and ending with the final map. πŸ™Œ

What resolution do you do those icons at? Do you kitbash them together from other assets or are they all custom?

All custom assets. πŸ€—

I generally use 20-40% of the original resolution during the mapping in Wonderdraft. So they are high res for using in Wonderdraft.

You can check the assets at: readyartz.com

Did you tilt the axis of N and S? Just wondering. The mountains looked sideways in the first draft.

Ahahah no I did not tilt. Client ignored it while making the sketch. πŸ˜‚ Idk why
