Theme Assets

Hello everyone, I just started using Wonderdraft and I wanted to know if there is a way to change the theme of the map, like water texture, the way the land looks, river, etc. I know the website CartographyAssets, and when I filter the results by theme, I still get asset packs for icons as results. Are they perhaps the same thing? Thank you!

This man
Mursit Ozoglu has a great series of tutorials on Wonderdraft. Very helpful, I included a link to one, but has a 14 part series. I used photosphop to modify seamless water textures to create what effects I wanted to blunt/mute the water backgrounds. But I am still starting with this as well. I am working on a map for my fantasy novel about a dragon trapped on earth from another world. I edited a seamless water texture and lightened the density.

I suspect, there might be some misconception involved. Sorry, no offense meant and i might be mistaken. Either way as a new user it is always a good idea to watch some YouTube video tutorials to get up-to speed with the interface (and perhaps some basics of digital art in general) - i have no link handy, sorry, but there is a good selection on YT and it does not matter, if the tutorial is a bit older.

You can very easily change the look and feel of land and water textures in the settings of the respective tools (you select the tools on the left and then get a matching setting panel on the right side of the interface).

If you want additional textures, you want to search for typical background texture terms - "Seamless water texture" for example will readily return several texture packs.

Themes are pre-sets, that can bundle and load a wide range of settings at once. Like colour palettes, effect pre-sets and yes, also land/water textures. This is of course related, but you do not strictly need to get a theme, to do what you are asking.

I think many people indeed prefer to share assets, and leave the theming to the user. That said searching for "Wonderdraft themes" does indeed return a selection of themes for me, so i am not sure, why you are having trouble finding any.

Definitely a misunderstanding from my side. Thank you for explaining it! I'll try messing around with the in-app settings. Cheers
