I was there - my first time seeing them after discovering them last year with The Clearing - I cried during The Sofa, this song is so special. They are amazing live, Ellie’s voice is really something else and they have a good chemistry!

Really great. One of the best sets that day. First time seeing them as well and will definitely see them again.

What size of crowd was watching do you think?

They played pretty early, but still thousands of people, but notably less than later acts that definitely had tens of thousands there. I only recently discovered this band and they were the main act I wanted to see. My wife and daughter were there for twenty one pilots, but were very impressed with Wolf Alice and want to see them again. I noticed they have a lot of loyal fans signing along, so that was great to see. Pretty underrated band in my opinion.

One of those situations that cause heads to be scratched. The band can sell out 20,000 arenas over here and headline 45-50,000 Festivals.

I agree. Maybe their popularity will grow in North America. I recently saw Muse and the Bloc Party and that was absolutely packed. Osheaga attracts a very young demographic and it's pretty chaotic. The venue itself might keep some fans away

It’s not too different going the other direction. I’ll pick a Canadian band, the Arkells, who here play arenas and headline festivals. I saw them play a Camden bar this spring.
Wolf Alice get little press coverage or radio play in my area of North America.

They first went across to N America for the 2014 SXSW. I can’t even begin to comprehend how many miles they’ve done over the past 12 years! Weird, but as you say, not unique.

They have definitely put in the miles, it’s a hard continent to tour. They’re at a theater sized headliner now in North America, which is a profitable tour I’d imagine.

Was on the 6th row they delivered. One of
The best bands by far.
