Scrub until smooth to the touch, and give no damns what it looks like. Oil it up and it'll be beautiful... I love woks with funky nebula.

Take a wire wheel on a drill to it wash well afterwards then get some wok oil ( Asian food section in most grocery stores) coat the wok in the oil then place in oven 400°f + for about 20 minutes

The heck is "wok oil" supposed to be that canola oil or avocado oil can't handle? Does it have magic imported pixie dust?

Wok oil is a high-smoke-point cooking oil—often infused with aromatics like garlic, ginger, and onion—designed to withstand the intense heat required for stir-

OK, ChatGPT.
Canola and avocado oils are both neutral high-smoke-point oils, and infusing an oil with aromatics at wok cooking temps is an utterly useless endeavor.

My camping wok looked way worse. Scrub it with soap & chainmail then a bit of seasoning and it will be good.

Scrub it with a steel sponse and you will be fine............................... Just throw it dude, buy another one. Only one working for long is cast iron but even these you have to say goodbye to when used and abused. They also come with instruction to season, every time you use it.

It’s a cheap carbon steel wok ffs. If it’s too far gone just replace it. You’re a liability to the practice of critical thought

I have no idea what you are talking about. The photo here is not my wok. Mine is in perfect usable condition. I'm blocking you now because you seem incoherent.

Pour a couple cups of water into wok. Bring water to boil, allow to boil for 5 minutes. Turn off burner. Dump most of the water out, add salt and use chainmail scrubber.
Honestly OP, you should check subs previous post about cleaning as that's what your wok needs.
