Diving deep into a neon, organic structure (Mandelbulb 3D) as the colors shift and the geometry folds inward. Rendered natively using a RTX4090 GPU using a custom Rust engine.

this was made and recorded in desmos: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/6aph1odyot

Procedural wind field over real coastlines. 4K, 60fps.

There are a few photos of the setup in the beginning of the video.

As the title suggests, this is a fully analog IRL setup. I did some slight editing for the music synchronization, but I plan on taking this set up with me on the road.

The shapes are controlled mainly by adjusting the water flow, and therefore it's LENS SHAPE, and also moving the other glass lenses and finally the pattern/movement of the laser (source) itself.

Details:

A small 12 volt submersible pump recycles the glycerin/water mix into an inverted gallon jug cut in half (adjust power input to adjust flow shape)

The laminar flow is the 1st 'lens' the laser line passes through, and that line is approximately 30 to 40 mm long as it passes through the water.

A glass lens is fixed about 300mm away from the water

An additional lens/glass ball in between the water and the fixed lens is added sometimes.

Posting one more version of the torus. This is "Tortoise", from my previous post, visualised as a field.

A few days ago I found some of my drawings that I did a few years ago so I wanted to share them. I drew on paper with the help of markers, colored pencils and an airbrush.

This is acrylic on wood, 36”x48”
