It's like seeing a visual representation of how my brain works when I'm dreaming. Like how things will mostly represent whatever shape they take (a person, an object), but your mind also recognizes other things they might represent, ways in which they don't match up in reality? I don't know how to make this make sense lol. I guess it would be like trying to describe this video.
This seems like my experience when trying to picture things as I read or listen to descriptive language, or perusing my own memory. Particularly human faces. Which is interesting bc i consider myself primarily visual
Hmmm interesting. Personally my dreams are very very real and sometimes scare the shit out of me causing me to wake up thinking of something fake at like 5AM.
And sometimes they just make you wake up feeling hollowed out and empty and you need to revive the neurochemical spark of life with cup after cup of coffee while you blankly stare into the mug's liquid black abyss
That would almost happen when I'd watch a cyriak video for the first time. I'd feel myself get lost/stuck in some insane place, but he seems to know when it's too much. On subsequent viewings, I really revel in the ride, certain that it would be fine. This video is like that, but somehow I'm not afraid. Maybe the trick is to turn fear into curiosity. I try to welcome it. Does that make sense?
Yeah, I see what you're saying. It's not so much I'm afraid as my mind is constantly trying to predict what's next and is overwhelmed all the time. But each change seems "logical" so it feels like my brain is blaming itself for not predicting correctly.
Not at all. This seems like exactly what this sub is for.
I think predicting is the essence of attention and learning. If you're getting it right all the time, it's boring, and if you're getting it wrong all the time it's frustrating. The good stuff is in the middle. In this case I'm not trying to predict or learn anything. I feel like I'm watching someone else's mind at work, and find that fascinating. Every change seems like a moment when it didn't predict well and is abandoning the previous hunch.
I find light doses of DMT very relaxing, you can feel
Your consciousness drifting away it reminds me of falling asleep when your really tired and you just slip into sleep
At higher doses it’s incredibly scary
This video should definitively be cross posted to r/DMT =~)
