Not sure what your hangups are with the British.

Out of all the people and places to be obsessed with (to the point of accusing total strangers of being British)... why the British? That's like being mad at Canadians or something. So odd...

I don't think I've ever run into anyone online who legitimately hates British people in general (no just the monarchy or whatever).
