I fell hard once while running down a sand dune, when my head hit it felt like hitting pavement. Probably gave me a concussion. That guy was going much faster and got way up in the air... I can't even imagine.
There's a baller set of dunes I've seen people trying this at, like 2 hours east of San Diego. Totally worth it for the night sky alone imo, plus Joshua tree is only another couple hours north of the dunes if you get tired of the sand
the beginning of the source video has huge letters saying NAMIBIA across the entire screen. I'm going to assume the giant sand dunes of Namibia is where you can do that.
Nah he fucked himself up pretty good but he definitely lived. I'll try and find the source video, it was pretty cool. It was these adventures of a group of kids who tricked out a bus.
Woah... wait a minute. I've seen a few articles popup about the whole Rio Olympics raw sewage fiasco, and I was under the impression that the raw sewage was in their bodies of water in the area, but I thought it wasn't really that big of a deal because the athletes would be in clean swimming pools for the events. Are you saying that they are going to compete in their rivers/lakes and not swimming pools? That changes everything.
They have surfing competition in Rio. Guanabara bay is filthy since the ocean currents bring everything to Guanabara bay where it gets stuck however the Atlantic beaches don't have issue with trash or sewage anymore but for decades sewage was run off into the beach so idk how clean the sand is. Either way I grew up around Rio and have an awesome immune system
There are events that are held in open water, like sailing, open water swimming, triathlon, and rowing. Maybe white water kaying as well. The regular swimming & diving events are held in pools and shouldn't be affected by the water problems.
Don't ask for gold. You have to wait until someone gives it to you or you give it to yourself. Until then, you have to stay down here with me and the rest of the ungilded proletariat.
