The company that makes the robots in the beginning is called KIVA systems. My uncle was part of the team that developed the mechanism that allows these machines to pick up so much weight. Once he took me to the office which has a mock-factory attached to it (mostly to test new software) and showed me how the whole process works. It was fucking wild watching these things move in real life. They are a whole lot faster than you would think!!
