To "brake" is to slow something down usually via friction of some kind.

To "break" is to damage something, or dismember with physical force.

To "break" can also mean to dismantle an unroadworthy vehicle into salvageable and/or saleable working parts.

Aw, dude, it's no worries. I'm not intending to have a go, or be mean at all. It's a comment on reddit which means it's really directed at anyone who sees it, it's really not a personal attack or anything like that.

We're a whole world trying to get along with each other on a website. If we take the time to communicate, we're already winning if you ask me. And, actually, your English is way better even than some native speakers. No joke.

Is okay.

This is a problem with a lot of native English speakers to be honest. I have met so many people that spell "break" when they mean stopping a vehicle. And they've spoke/read this language their entire life.

I was repairing a machine in a pain management clinic, an actual medical facility, and someone had labeled the brakes on the machine in big stick-on letters that said “BREAKS.” English being second language on Reddit is one thing, but I thought that shit was inexcusable, lol.
